Good communication - It was a hassle free process. Vendor provided us with the reservation proofs and gave precise instructions regarding the drop-off point for taxis and the security measures for entry into Tiananmen Square. We enjoyed ourselves; it was a cold, blustery day but the lack of crowds (the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays) made it easy to walk around the square and take pictures.

Last minute booking - I did not realise I need a separate booking for the square. Gladly my forbidden city provided notified me. I was able to book Tienmsn Square tickets the day before with this provider. E erything wry thing went smoothly. Highly recommend. I booked the day before dnd everything worked.

Convenient online ticket booking. No need to collect physical ticket - Easy to get the digital ticket. Must be booked at least one day before. Just need to show reservation record on phone with passport to get in. A lot of security and different stages of checking. Worth the effort though for this iconic visit

Perfect visit of the square - Everything worked out perfectly as we got our tickets within 3 hours. On the day of the visit the square was so crowded (probably 3hour wait) in the morning that we decided to go in the evening instead (even if tickets indicated 8-12 time slot). We had no issue access the square after 30min wait. Thank you for the great service

Difficult to access - Interesting square filled with historic and cultural significance for a variety of reasons. You need to book a time slot and this is difficult to do without a Chinese mobile number hence why we used TripAdvisor. However, the barcode provided wasn’t recognised. Luckily we were still granted access but security was tight and lengthy. We had to “queue”for 90 minutes in total and missed our entry to the Forgotten City as a result. Make sure you take your passport as ID and try to avoid bags/ luggage as these will be checked more than once.

Agent service is reliable and top, but I recommend not to go to Tienanmen due to long lines at security check points - The lines through multiple security gates to enter Tienanmen can be really long and can easily take 1 or more hours. If you are trying to enter the square and have a morning ticket for the Forbidden City, you may have not enough time. That’s what happens to us, we have to forego with Tienanmen. There was a long line right inside the subway station and that line was not moving fast enough on a Tuesday. I recommend skipping this. The travel agent service is top notch. The reservations wss emailed to us right on time.

I won't book any more at Viator - I booked for Tiananmen Square for the 21st (just as I wanted and so it comes on the itinerary). Then they have to send you a confirmation code, which is what serves as a bonus. Well, they sent it to me on the 20th and we couldn't get in.

The ticket purchase said... - The ticket purchase said nothing about millions of crowds and multiple security lines would prohibit us to actually get in to the venue. This should be disclosed because the masses of people is clearly a daily occurrence

An amazing queue. - An amazing queue. About 1 hour and 30 under water. It was not possible to reach a bathroom, once we entered the gates (we looked like beasts) it was impossible to get out. The Probation Service was screaming in your ear in Chinese without giving you an explanation ... we foreigners who did not understand the language were really struggling to understand what had to be done. The Chinese don't speak English and they don't even try to help you. As for tickets, just bring your passport and pass it under the scanners, don't spend money Tianammen is free! I paid and it wasn't necessary
