Zubieta is a neighborhood approximately 10 km from San Sebastián’s center, known mainly as the home of the Real Sociedad football team. While most of Zubieta belongs to San Sebastián, part of it is in the town of Usúrbil. Besides hosting the Real Sociedad training facilities, Zubieta also houses the Hipódromo de Lasarte, the city’s horse track.

The Ondarreta stop on the city tour bus takes you to the beach in the Antiguo neighborhood. This is one of San Sebastian’s three urban beaches, alongside La Concha and Zurriola, located at the base of one of the city’s hills, Monte Igueldo. At the ends, you can find two city icons: the Peine del Viento sculpture by Chillida and Pico del Loro, the rock ledge dividing Bahía de la Concha in two. This spot also serves as an excellent viewpoint. Opposite, you can see the Isla of Santa Clara. Ondarreta beach stretches over half a kilometer and, although not very long, is wide enough for swimmers to enjoy even at high tide.

The Ayete Palace (in Basque, Aieteko Jauregia) is a residential palace in the neighborhood of the same name in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Spain. On October 17, 2011, the International Peace Conference of San Sebastián was held here. With neoclassical inspiration, it was constructed by the Dukes of Bailén in 1878 and designed by French architect Adolfo Ombrecht. The San Sebastián City Council has renovated the palace’s interior, and it now houses the House of Peace and Human Rights. Additionally, the northern gardens have been altered to accommodate the semi-underground House of Culture.

Amara is a neighborhood on the left bank of the Urumea River, known for being one of the city’s most modern and densely populated areas.

The Train Station - Tabakalera stop is near the Urumea River, next to the stunning María Cristina Zubia bridge. If you disembark here, you can enjoy a peaceful walk along Paseo Urumea to the river’s mouth at the Cantabrian Sea, surrounded by lush greenery. It’s common to see rowing teams practicing for races. Nearby attractions include the Park of Cristina Enea, an urban oasis with swans and peacocks, and the Palace of Duque de Mandas, home to the Cristina Enea Foundation, dedicated to environmental preservation and sustainability. This stop is the closest to both the bus and train stations, making it convenient for those arriving in San Sebastián by these means.
