- Abbotsbury Swannery - First on the list: Situated at the far end of The Fleet tidal lagoon is Abbotsbury Swannery or Subtropical Gardens (depending on the season). These are remnants of the Abbey that once stood nearby. It is the only managed nesting site for Mute Swans globally, with origins dating back to the 14th century AD.

- Portland Bill Lighthouse - Next is the Isle of Portland, where visitors can explore the area around the Bill, featuring two lighthouses, a stone arch, quarry works, and notorious tidal races. This is a rugged and ever-changing area. There is an opportunity to climb the lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic view from the top!
- Chesil Bank (Chesil Beach) - The following stop is lunch*. If it’s not too crowded, the plan is to visit Billy Winters on Chesil Beach, a chic little surfers’ bar on the spit of land between Portland and Weymouth. There will also be time to walk up the beach to take in the stunning views down The Fleet Lagoon.
*Price of lunch not included.
- Maiden Castle - The journey continues to Maiden Castle, the largest Iron Age hill fort in the United Kingdom. The entire area surrounding the castle is steeped in history, from the Romans to the poet Thomas Hardy.
- Cerne Abbas Giant - Saving the best for last, the visit concludes with the Cerne Giant and the nearby village of Cerne Abbas. The giant is a chalk carving of unknown age and origin, while the village is one of the most charming in the area, featuring three distinct pubs and a magical well.
