A great way to see the Penguins! - Well worth the 2 1/2 hr van ride to see over 400,000 Megellanic penguins up very very close. We were so happy we booked with Shore Excursion Group rather than through the ship. Not only was it significantly cheaper, but we were in a van of 12 people that left long before the 6 full size buses from the ship. We arrived as the Rookery opened and got great up close pictures before the crowds arrived and were able to spend a full extra hour there. Our guide, Sol, used the transfer time to give us lots of information on Argentina

Penguins and Welsh tea - We had a wonderful day to Punto Tombo and Gaiman. Our guide Max was very knowledgeable about the first Welsh settlers, the history of the area and lots of historical facts and wildlife facts. We had an amazing time!

An unforgettable experience with Esteban Duro: excellence in every kilometer - We went on a private tour to Punta Tombo, Gaiman and southern Puerto Madryn with our guide Esteban Duro (Argentina Vision) and the experience was exceptional. Their professionalism, knowledge and human warmth make each tour unique, and this 10-hour tour of southern Chubut exceeded all our expectations.
We start in Trelew with a visit to the replica of the Titanosaur Patagotitan mayorum, considered one of the largest dinosaurs in existence. After a fascinating journey of more than two hours along the wide Patagonian routes, we arrive at Punta Tombo Natural Protected Area, home to an immense colony of Magellanic penguins. Esteban accompanied us with clear, interesting and detailed explanations that greatly enriched the visit. We spent more than three hours walking the penguin trails and the Interpretation Center, enjoying the surroundings and taking advantage of the services of the place to have free lunch.
Then we continue to the charming Chubut River Valley, where we visit the city of Gaiman, with its unmistakable Welsh legacy. Esteban took us through its streets, explained its history and even had the opportunity to enjoy the traditional Welsh tea experience with its incredible variety of cakes.
The tour followed the area of chacras, a beautiful landscape where numerous establishments dedicated to agritourism and artisan production are located. And as a finishing touch, although the museum was not in the program, Esteban decided to take us equally to the Paleontological Museum, a gesture that speaks of his commitment to always offer the best to those who accompany him.
The whole experience was as enriching as it was pleasurable. Esteban not only guides: he accompanies, explains, cares for and ensures that each person lives the journey at his own pace, with time to enjoy and learn.
Definitely a highly recommended guide. Traveling with him is guaranteed a perfect day in Patagonia.

Not to be missed - Wonderful trip. Pierre was very knowledgeable about the region and wildlife, and super helpful with a family member that was only able to walk part of the way.
The penguin rookery is not to be missed. Take the guide’s advice and walk all the way to the end immediately, and then take your time and your pictures in the way back. We enjoyed peace and quiet and greeted the throng of other cruise guests as we departed.

Very nice penguin experience 🐧♥️✨ - It was two days of touring with my husband (and mother-in-law 🥺) and our guide Pierre Roux stopped by to pick us up very friendly both days. He is French but speaks very good English and Spanish 🥹 On the first day we went to Punta Tombó and he knows many things about the road, cities/towns, industry and animals. The road from Puerto Madryn to Tombó is a bit long but Pierre kept us very informed about everything we saw along the way, and also stopped me from buying a crescent in Trelew because I was already very hungry. We saw the baby penguins (mid-December) and all very bonis, we sent postcards from there and had a snack. Then he took us to Gaiman to get to know the village and to the Welsh teahouse ♥️✨ and then back to Madryn. We actually slept a little on the way back but Pierre followed the path. The next day we went to Punta Loma to see the dogs (sea wolves) and they are very nice the babies ✨ and we really liked the experience:)

Guides and penguins are the best 😊 Travel companies are the worst 😭 - I was waiting at the rendezvous point at 7 a.m.
I didn't get picked up 💦
I've also read past reviews that said, "I've been waiting for you, but you got cancelled."
Anxious, I called her several times and she answered,
They said, “Today we leave at 10 o’clock” ðŸ˜It’s New Year’s” without apology. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
We're with you; but...
It was my only chance to see penguins.
I was quite impatient. I never heard from him, and when I felt uneasy
I should have switched to another tour company.
In Argentina, there are companies that are also late for the meeting.
I think you should be especially careful because there was.
In the tour days, the guide said it very much, and I enjoyed it
Four of us were shoved into a small car.
Because of my position, I ended up in the middle seat behind me.
It was not comfortable at all.
The penguins were cute and the guides were nice,
It's better to choose a company.
