This serene section of the lake, often referred to as the “Amazon,” is celebrated for its tranquil waters, abundant birdlife, and pristine landscapes.
Departing from the main routes, the tour proceeds to Karuč, a quaint village nestled between hills and the lake. Upon arrival, guests enjoy a brief 10-minute walk to a viewpoint above the village, offering opportunities to admire the scenery, capture photos, and learn more about the locale.
Karuč is renowned for its numerous natural springs—approximately 54 in total—with some reaching depths of over 50 meters, while Lake Skadar’s average depth is around 5 meters. The village also served as the winter residence of Petar I Petrović Njegoš.
