The Loch Ness Centre - Starting from your accommodation in Inverness, the journey heads towards Loch Ness, offering numerous photo opportunities at some of the loch’s most stunning viewpoints. The tour then proceeds to the renowned Urquhart Castle and its visitor center. This castle is a picturesque ruin, situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the loch, surrounded by waters over 600 feet deep, where the legendary Loch Ness Monster is rumored to reside. Take your time exploring the historic ruins and discovering its fascinating history before the tour continues to Invermoriston and then to Loch Cluanie.
40 min drive -
Loch Cluanie - Loch Cluanie is located in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland at the southeast end of Glen Shiel. It is a reservoir, held back by the Cluanie Dam, built by Mitchell Construction and completed in 1957 as part of the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board’s Glenmoriston project for hydroelectric power generation. The tour then moves on to Eilean Donan Castle.
25 min drive -
Eilean Donan Castle - Situated near Dornie, Eilean Donan Castle is one of Scotland’s most recognizable castles and likely appears on more calendars than any other. It is undeniably a Scottish icon. Surprisingly, although the island has been fortified since at least the Iron Age, the current castle was rebuilt from earlier ruins between 1913 and 1932. The tour then continues to Kyle of Lochalsh, before crossing the bridge to the Isle of Skye and proceeding to the Sligachan Bridge.
30 min drive -
Sligachan - Sligachan is a quaint settlement on Skye, Scotland, near the Cuillin mountains, offering breathtaking views of the Black Cuillin mountains and the River Sligachan. Legend has it that the beauty of Scáthach’s daughter and her tears of love shed in the river grant eternal beauty to anyone brave enough to dip their face in the water. While seeking eternal beauty at Sligachan Bridge isn’t exactly pleasant, it is far less punishing than what Dorian Gray experienced! The tour then continues to Portree.
15 min drive -
Portree - Located on the east side of Skye overlooking a sheltered bay, Portree is the island’s capital. Portree is about 200 years old, established as a fishing village in the early 19th century by Lord MacDonald. The name Portree or Port Righ, meaning King’s Port in Gaelic, is popularly believed to originate from a visit by King James V of Scotland in 1540, but the area around the harbor was called Portree or Portray long before the king’s arrival. Its name actually comes from the Gaelic for Port on the Slope. Further north along the road to Staffin is the Old Man of Storr, a very popular walk. Across the bay to the east, the Island of Raasay can be seen with its distinctive conical hill, Dun Caan. The tour then continues to the Old Man of Storr.
15 min drive -
The Old Man of Storr - The Old Man of Storr is renowned for its stunning scenery and views. It’s a favored spot for hikers, hill walkers, and photographers. By leaving the crowd behind and walking right under the “Old Man,” you can enjoy incredible views all to yourself! The tour then proceeds to Lealt.
10 min drive -
Lealt Falls - Lealt Falls can be seen following a short walk from the parking area. Simply sit at the top of the cliff and take in the view. This is a quick stop south of Staffin. A viewpoint offers a magnificent sight over the Mealt Falls and Kilt Rock, one of the top tourist spots in the Trotternish area.
15 min drive and then on to Kilt Rock -
Kilt Rock - The 90-meter Kilt Rock on the Trotternish Peninsula strikingly resembles a pleated kilt. It features vertical basalt columns forming the pleats and intruded sills of dolerite creating the pattern. From the cliff-top viewpoint, you can also enjoy a view of Mealt Falls, a waterfall that plunges 328 feet (100 m) over Kilt Rock to the rocky shoreline below. If you listen closely, you can hear the whistle made by the falls as the water crashes down. Similar to a bagpipe’s haunting tunes, this whistle becomes even more dramatic on particularly windy days. The tour then returns to Inverness.

Exceptional!! - We had an unforgettable one-day private tour from Inverness to the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness with our guide, William. He was nothing short of outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly courteous. Despite the packed itinerary, he ensured we saw all the major sights without ever feeling rushed. He went above and beyond to capture beautiful family photos for us at every scenic stop. William’s passion, storytelling, and warm personality truly made the day special. We’ve been on many tours, but William was by far the best guide we’ve ever had. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Highland

Sky’s the Limit - This was a wonderful day highlighted by all that the Isle of Sky can offer. Our driver, Mike, was absolutely perfect. He listened to our requests and came up with an itinerary that was perfect. It was our first trip to the Isle of Sky and he was informative with his commentary and patient with all of our questions. He went over the top to make sure our day was special including a last minute spotting of a hairy coo on our way home.

Isle of Skye day tour - Our tour guide, Roy, met us promptly and was very friendly and informative. We had a great day tour of the Isle of Skye with him. I would 100% recommend this tour company as well as Roy! He tailored the tour to meet our timelines, being on a cruise ship, and everything was seamless. Thanks for a great day!

Amazing scenery. - Regan, our guide, was wonderful! This was a long day/drive, but so worth the scenery. Regan was informative, entertaining, and so patient with our group. He asked questions to get a feel of what would beat suit us for the tour. He definitely went above what we expected. Highly recommend this tour. Hopefully you’ll get Regan!
