• Located on Culloden Moor, near Inverness, this is the historic site of the Battle of Culloden (16 April 1746), the last major battle on British soil.

• The site features passage graves, ring cairns, standing stones, and kerb cairns, all arranged in a circular layout.
• Fans of the TV series Outlander will recognize Clava Cairns as the inspiration for the fictional Craigh na Dun, where Claire Randall travels back in time through the standing stones.
• Although Clava Cairns does not have a magical “split stone” like in the series, the circle of standing stones creates a similar atmosphere.
