Service went above and beyond! - Our driver-guide Akbar picked us up promptly from our hotel and briefed us about life in the UAE, as well as some information about each site we visited. He was very kind to give us as much time as we wanted at each stop, guiding us as to how to best manage our time so that we would not rush our schedule that day. All the locations were beautiful and very interesting! I lost my mobile phone at one of the sites and spent a lot of time there trying to look for it. The staff of the location as well as Akbar helped us try to look for it and even escorted us to the nearby police station to file a report. Even though we did not find it, my husband and I are very grateful for the time and effort the staff and Akbar gave us in this incident -- they went above and beyond what any tour person would have given us, and for that, I give 5 stars for their service.

Our driver / guide was patient, kind, and thoughtful. I highly recommend this day trip to see a different side of the UAE and to learn about the country's history.

Once we arrived at Al Ain, we visited Al Jahili Fort, Al Ain National Museum and Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum. We drove up to the peak of the mountain. All and all great tour.

A relaxed day trip to a setting... -
A relaxed day trip to a setting completely different from Dubai. The driver/guide was friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be on our own for this trip 3 of us sharing a Toyota Landcruiser. The buffet lunch at the Al Ain Hilton was great and the various stops were interesting. I particularly liked the camel market.

The palace and National Museum provide a good insight into the local history. The Camel Souq had some good photo ops. Our guide was very accommodating knowledgeable.

Tour was good... We requested to... -
Tour was good... We requested to start the tour at 8 am sharp and it started sharp on time.. tour was organised in comfortable land cruiser. 1st spot was a palm plantations area which was ok types, nothing much to see arround. 2nd spot was a heritage museum, which was similar to ones seen in dubai and abu dhabi city tour. 3rd spot was a mountain top, which was beautiful, and there was no body on top except us. 4th was al ain zoo which was best but the negative point was we were given just 1 hour and it was insufficient. There were many animals but due to time constraint we were able to see just few.. after that we were taken to lunch at hayatt hotel. Lunch was ok, as vegetarian options were limited. There was a fly swimming in thick hummus and few on desserts... It was gross.. we complained about it to management and they replaced it.. also they made few vegetarian dishes for us...after that they took us to our hotel by 4pm. On the way, guide cum driver showed us few spots like sports complex and sultans palace while driving. He did not show us hot springs as mentioned in itinerary, and he told that camel market is closed too as it was Friday.. overall it was a okay type of experience with the only highlight being zoo. But the wild cats were too tired to come out in sun. They were very tired and sleepy. And for women, they ask you to cover knees and hand, they give the option of buying a stole for 15 dihrams... driver was a sheik, who played arabic music through out the journey. He was good and little friendly.
