Kicking off at the Duke Pub on Duke Street, this literary pub crawl will take you to famous pubs and haunts while actors recite verses from the best Irish literature. You can sink a pint while learning about the lives of these great writers and hear some of the hilarious stories that became folklore in Dublin’s literary circles. PLEASE NOTE: During Covid we reserve the right to cancel tours at short notice due to lack of numbers attending.

Superlative - As a lifelong reader with a passionate interest in the history and culture of Ireland, Irish literature is, to me [and I'm sure to many others] of the best in the world. This tour pays homage to the numerous great writers of Dublin, spearheaded by a remarkably knowledgeable and friendly guide and was also a great meeting point of those similarly inclined. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Many thanks to Colm and al those I met. :)

Great way to spend an evening in Dublin - What a great evening Frank (Smith) and his colleague were tremendous, entertaining, knowledgeable about the literary tour. Great to visit pubs along the way, with the insight of the connections that Dublin has with its writers. Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, Bernard Shaw, Brendan Behan were all brought to life with Franks acting. Also enjoyed the group we were with from America. Thank you Frank for a lovely evening. A wonderful end to my evening! - I thought this pub crawl was absolutely lovely. The actors were spot on. Very well done. I booked this for a Friday night when each of the pubs were packed to the hilt so there was a bit of difficulty getting a pint at times. The other attendees were great and so welcoming for a solo participant. I would def recommend this!

A blazing review - This is just wonderful! Frank and Colum were very skilled in their acting and leading the group..Try to get to know the other people attending, since that makes the experience even better. It was a rainy and cold evening, but the warmth and joy of Irish hospitality was abound.
You do not have to be a literary giant or academic to enjoy this experience.
It is simply Brilliant!

Lovely Kind People - We thought the actors were lovely and super kind/prepared/interesting and invested. We were a bit surprised by the number of outdoor stops - there was less talking at the pubs and more stops outside of them. It was a bit cold for that so I would say if you are planning to do this tour - bring lots of warm clothes!

Meet unforgettable characters from Irish literature - Really good fun. Great to be in the middle of a bit of live theatre, and iconic theatre at that - Vladimir and Gogo, the incomparable Oscar, and the immortal Rashers Tierney! Brilliant!

Never Literary Pub Crawl! - The event was cancelled an hour before starting. Total lack of respect for the customer . I had especially come down to Dublin for this event . A total failure!
