- William Conyngham Plunket - The statue of William Conyngham Plunket, 4th Baron Plunket (26 August 1828 – 1 April 1897), is a notable sight. He married Anne Lee Guinness, daughter of Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness, in 1863. Plunket was the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral and later became the Archbishop of Dublin in the Church of Ireland.
- St Stephen’s Green - Located in the heart of Dublin, St Stephen’s Green is a historic park and garden dating back to 1663. The current park was extensively redesigned in 1880, thanks to the generosity of Arthur Edward Guinness, 1st Baron Ardilaun. Nearby, visitors can see Iveagh House, which was owned and occasionally inhabited by the Guinness family from 1862 to 1939.
- Marsh’s Library - Marsh’s Library, a well-preserved library from the late Renaissance and early Enlightenment, opened in 1707 as Ireland’s first public library. It was commissioned by Archbishop Narcissus Marsh and houses a collection of over 25,000 books and 300 manuscripts.
- Saint Patrick’s Cathedral - As the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral underwent significant restoration in the 19th century, funded by the Guinness family.
- St. Patrick’s Park - Adjacent to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, St Patrick’s Park is believed to be the site where St. Patrick baptized the first Irish Christians in the 5th century. From this location, one can view the impressive housing and educational facilities built by Lord Iveagh (Edward Guinness) for Dublin’s impoverished residents.
- Dublin Castle - Built in the early 13th century on a former Viking settlement, Dublin Castle served as the administrative center for English, and later British, governance in Ireland for centuries. (The castle will be viewed from outside the walls as it will be closed to the public from May 2026 due to Ireland hosting the EU presidency).
- River Liffey - The tour continues through Temple Bar, crossing the River Liffey, which was once the main transport route from the Brewery to the ships that distributed Guinness globally.
- The Church Café, Late Bar & Restaurant - The tour concludes with a pint of Guinness (included in the ticket price) at the former St Mary’s Church. Sir Arthur Guinness, the founder of the Guinness Brewery, married Olivia Whitmore here in 1761.
