A Spectacular Overview of Ireland - We traveled as a small family group and had a wonderful experience. Tony was a great guide and had infinite patience. He gave us lots of little anecdotes, histories, and cultural insight along the way. He also played a lot of Irish music on the longer stretches of road. He’s been doing this a long time, and it shows in how seamless the trip was. It would have been good to know our end time a little further in advance so we could shop for the best flights. The hotels were all nice. We saw a lot of spectacular sights. A week is not a ton of time to see a lot of each city, but you get a feel for each place. Tony gives lots of recommendations for good food and drink. Overall, the this was fantastic tour. Go raibh maith agat!

Acquiring the gift of gab in Ireland. - What a great experience! Visited many historical places and saw amazing sites. Tony kept us busy but at a leisurely pace. He also provided facts along the way that highlighted and entertained the group. I highly recommend this trip.

An unforgettable experience—beyond our expectations! - We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Tony from Ireland Munsterbus Tours, and we can't recommend him highly enough! From start to finish, Tony was exceptional—a true professional who brought our trip to life with his deep local knowledge, flawless logistics, and fantastic sense of humor. While we had high hopes for the tour, a few experiences truly took us by surprise. We didn’t expect to enjoy Blarney Castle as much as we did—it ended up being a highlight! The grounds were stunning, and the visit was both scenic and steeped in history. Another unexpected gem was the sheepdog demonstration by Joe Joyce. Watching him work with his dogs was absolutely mesmerizing, and it gave us a real glimpse into Irish rural life. It’s those kinds of moments that made the trip feel so authentic and memorable. What really sets Tony apart is his knack for taking you off the beaten path. We saw the iconic sights, yes, but he also led us to hidden villages, breathtaking coastal spots, and local treasures we never would have found on our own. Every detail was taken care of so we could truly relax and soak it all in. If you're heading to Ireland and want more than just the typical tourist experience, Tony is your guy. He’s knowledgeable, personable, and goes above and beyond to make every moment count. This wasn’t just a tour—it was a truly unforgettable journey with an exceptional guide.

This one! - Tony does an excellent job of giving just enough information about where you are without it feeling like a fire hose. His recommendations for where to eat and things not to miss were exceptional. His willingness to take you to some areas that are sort of off the beaten path really enhanced the trip.

The best of Ireland in a small group - Amazing small group tour with Tony! This was an amazing tour with lots of tourist but more of the off the beaten path/backroads that big bus won't get you to and car driving yourself will stress you out. Amazing how this tour was done! 10/10 and more!!!

Beautiful tour of Ireland - My wife and I just got home from Ireland where, after going to Belfast and seeing Dublin, we took the Munsterbus 6-day tour of the country. It was fabulous and we highly recommend it to everyone looking to discover Ireland's beauty and history. The small bus is perfect to get into places larger coaches cannot navigate and we cannot heap more praise on our terrific driver, Tony, who really made the trip enjoyable. He is so knowledgeable about the country's history and its landmarks and he always had a joke or witty comment ready. The schedule of activities and stops is relaxing and we had plenty of time to sleep in, wander around the sights and Tony had tons of good recommendations for restaurants and bars to try out at every stop. At end of the trip, he dropped all the couples off at their various hotels in Dublin so we didn't have to get there on our own. That was a very nice touch. It was a wonderful and memorable experience; one we will not soon forget.

Munsterbus is the Best of the Best! - This is a top-shelf company! We had only 2 couples on our tour - and a lesser company would have cancelled our trip. Not Munsterbus. We had a wonderful time and our driver Tony Murphy was fantastic. We had a good blend of historic sites and great scenic views. Tony stopped in some well-hidden places for photos and stretching our legs. He also gave us great advice about where to go for lunches and walking around each of the towns. The hotels were all 4-Star (out of a possible 4 stars). All were very well appointed and all had a bar for evening relaxation. Tony pointed out area pubs that feature music too. When you're in Kilkenny, be sure to visit the Hole in the Wall Pub. It's TINY, seating about 8 people, and it will take a bit of well-rewarded work to find it. The atmosphere is like something our of a novel - and to our absolute delight, a local stopped in and started playing Irish music on a "music box" (like a small accordion)! We visited the Blarney Stone. If you're at all claustrophobic, do NOT go. Climbing up the castle steps involved some very small walkways with low overhead. It's worth noting that if you want to kiss the (unsanitized!!! Blarney Stone. you have to get on the ground, lay on your back and slide into position, looking up at the sky. Of course, there's a concession-type photographer, who will happily sell you a photo when you finally get to the bottom. We opted instead for a photo, shot by our tour mate) of my wife and I having a kiss in front of the Blarney Stone. Close enough in my estimation. Fair warning about the Cliffs of Moher. It's WINDY - my best guess is that it was close to hurricane force. I'd say 55 MPH+. Our guide, Tony Murphy, came through once again. He told us there is a not-very-obvious golf-cart operation that takes people both up and back - and we took full advantage of that. That operation is - of course - named "The Lifts of Moher" and to top it all off, there's a gift shop named "The Gifts of Moher". We went the end of September, straddling into October. Dress warmly as the temperatures are starting to drop. Wear layers and you'll be fine. Finally, I give both Tony Murphy and Munsterbus Tours my highest possible recommendation. They're a 12./10! PS - please consider booking directly with Munsterbus. Their contact information is on the bus (see photos).
