Formed 60 million years ago by volcanic eruptions, the area boasts 40,000 interlocking basalt rock columns. Embark on the trail to the “Giant’s Boot,” a 2-meter large boot supposedly lost by Finn. Experience the magic of the “Wishing Chair,” a natural throne of perfectly shaped basalt columns. Discover the “Camel,” a basalt dyke formed from cooling lava, said to be Finn’s steed. The Clifftop Trail offers a bird’s eye view of the Giant’s Causeway, providing a unique perspective of this World Heritage Site and the stunning north coast of Ireland, extending to Scotland.
