Trad Irish music is awesome! - A liked getting to know the group quick ice breaker and history. Our guide Neil also went over what to expect. Being able to see authentic music in an Irish pub was so magical. We arrived on a Thursday morning but wanted to still be able to explore. The tour started later in the evening so it was easy to meet up and deal with jet lag. I would highly recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again.

Excellent! - Níall was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we met, his warm and welcoming demeanor made everyone in the group feel comfortable and at ease with each other. His knowledge and passion for Irish culture and traditional music shone through in every part of the tour. You could tell he genuinely loves sharing the history and stories behind the music, and his enthusiasm was infectious. The itinerary itself was thoughtful and engaging, giving us a true sense of Dublin’s musical heart without ever feeling touristy or staged. What really stood out was how Niall encouraged the group to connect, making it feel less like a tour and more like being welcomed into a circle of friends.

Wonderful experience! - Niall was wonderful. We were astonished when he learned/knew everyone’s first name within the first 60 seconds! Our tour begin with an informative talk about trad Irish music, a brief history, and he explained the difference between a jig and a reel. Niall took us to free pubs that played trad music. The pubs were crowded, but he helped us all get up close to the musicians so we could see and hear them play. My wife was nursing a broken toe and he was mindful enough to make sure to find a stool for her to sit on wherever we went. We plan to returning. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes. We logged about 4000 steps walking this tour.

Not to be missed! - This was one of the best tours we’ve experienced in our many years of travel. Niall brought an incredible depth of knowledge of traditional Irish music, from its roots to its evolution and how it influenced musicians around the world. The pub selections were wonderful.

Fabulous Traditional music pub crawl - Fabulous Dublin traditional Irish music pub tour, fun, and educational too. Our guide, Nall, first got the group acquainted with each other, and then gave us a glimpse of the traditional Irish folk music (the locals call it “Trad”) with its history and with the history of Ireland woven in, informative (jigs and reels). And he distinguished Trad from the amplified sound in most Dublin pubs. We visited 3 pubs, where Nall carefully engineered us in pairs to get close to the musicians. Our visits included players of 3 fiddles plus pipes and a bassoon, then a group with 1 fiddle, a pipe, a big 8-string mandolin, and Irish bagpipes, and finally a group of 2 banjos and a guitar, singing ballads. All widely different, including a sad acapella song that even quieted the pub. With a round of pints or soft drinks at each. Walking between pups, we were treated to glimpses of Dublin history, with numerous anecdotes. What a night! I will remember the scene and my guide for a long time. Thanks.

- The tour guide did not show up for the tour. When I called Trip Advisor, they said the tour guide did not answer the phone. The tour guide later apologized in writing for missing the tour.
