This 1.5-hour guided walking tour immerses participants in the city’s 1,400-year history, sharing stories from when Dubrovnik was among the world’s most prosperous port cities. It recounts tales of conflict and offers insights into the city’s culture.
Starting in the Pile area, in front of Sky bar, embark on a historical journey through Old Town. Walk past the Franciscan Monastery and admire Orlando’s Column, a monument on the Stradun symbolizing the city’s enduring freedom and independence. Also, see Onofrio’s Fountain, constructed in 1438 at the end of an 8-mile (12-km) aqueduct that supplied the city with water.
The tour also includes views of the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace, and the Cathedral of the Assumption, a baroque church built after the catastrophic earthquake of 1667.
