• Ston City Walls - The journey begins from your hotel, the airport, or a designated meeting point. After a 1-hour drive, you will reach the charming Medieval town of Ston, where you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the Ston city walls. Following this 30-minute stroll, the tour continues to the salt works. Here, you will discover the technological process of producing sea salt and its exceptional quality. Once the tour concludes, we will drive to Klis Castle, located about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Split.
• Klis Fortress - Nestled into the limestone cliffs outside of Split, the impressive Klis Fortress (Tvrdava Klis) once served as a crucial defensive stronghold between the Mediterranean and the Balkans. It was the residence of many Croatian kings, but today it is more famously recognized as the filming location for the fictional city of Meereen in the Game of Thrones series. This attraction can be explored in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Afterward, we will drive 30 minutes to the center of Split.
• Split - After a 30-45 minute drive from Klis, the tour begins at the Split Riva, the promenade of Split. Enter through the Bronze City Gate to explore the palace’s basement. The vaulted cellars remain intact and remarkably well-preserved after more than 1700 years. Next, visit the sacral part of the palace, the Perystil, and the Cathedral, which was originally Diocletian’s mausoleum. The pagan temple of Jupiter was converted into a baptistery in the 7th century. Stroll along Cardo, the palace’s former main street, and admire the Golden Gate. You can then enjoy lunch, coffee, or a drink for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Afterward, we will meet at the drop zone and return to the hotel in about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Additionally, we are flexible and can accommodate any extra requests to ensure your trip is perfect.
