On arrival, explore independently.. Then, enter via a gate in the 9th century walls, and discover the gorgeous Venetian lanes and squares lined with stone churches and mansions.
As you look around, be sure to visit the town’s showpiece, Saint Tryphon’s Cathedral. Dating from the 12th century, this twin-towered church boasts a silver altar screen and the remains of St Tryphon, Kotor’s patron saint.
