- Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre - Since 1947, Speyside Cooperage has been dedicated to the ancient craft of coopering. Visitors can observe coopers shaping, shaving, and charring casks, which are essential to the whisky industry.
- Aberlour - Enjoy a delightful lunch at The Mash Tun in the quaint town of Aberlour.
- Glenfarclas Distillery - Glenfarclas Distillery is one of the few remaining privately-owned Scottish distilleries.

Our departure from Inverness is scheduled for 8am, heading straight to Dufftown – the heart of Speyside – to tour and taste from Scotland’s largest distillery, Glenfiddich. Next, we take you to get a glimpse of the craftsmen at Speyside Cooperage in Craigellachie, before heading to the Mash Tun in Aberlour for lunch. Once we finish our meal, we take a short trip to Glenallachie Distillery for our final tasting, before returning you back to your lodging in Inverness.

Best of the Best for Private Tours. - After months of checking reviews on private tour companies in Inverness & multiple emails with different companies Highlander Private Tours did not disappoint. My emails to Lawrence regarding a non-standard tour with a long list of distilleries that we wanted to see for my husband's birthday in various areas was immediately answered. It came to my attention that I had no idea how vast the area was! After great detailed emails from Lawrence he set an itinerary for the whiskey tours doing the areas we wanted. Turns out that instead of my planned 2 days using Highlander I ended up booking 4 ! We spent 2 days with Lawrence and his amazing knowledge of whiskies & everything in between, then 2 days with Billy (his brother) driving around Loch Ness viewing other places and distilleries. From picking us up at the airport to returning us for a flight home 9 days later Lawrence & Billy made us feel like family. They grew up here & the love they have for the area shines through when taking a tour, from old homes/castles/tiny towns/whiskey tours/lots and lots of sheep/tiny grocery store for a cinnamon pastry to crossing over the top of the mountain to take photos of the North Sea it was by far one of our top vacations. So much to say that we are planning another trip back because of Highlander Private Tours, with Lawrence & Billy you have made the right choice!

Amazing day of scotch tasting - Lawrence was an amazing guide. He took us to so many distilleries and taught us so much about the region. It was a great experience.

Speyside distilleries and countryside - Lawrence did a great job guiding our whiskey tour through Speyside. He has great knowledge of the local history, knew which distilleries we would enjoy the most, and adapted to our tight schedules.
Lawrence goes the extra mile to make sure you see as much as possible and will recommend the best restaurant dishes (if he's been there).

Treated like Royalty’s - Lawerence was a great tour guide for this once in a lifetime journey through the Speyside region. Not only was he knowledgeable about the whisky but he knew so many interesting facts about the region. We were lucky to have such a great leader to bring us along. Thank you Lawerence!

Fantastic Day of Whisky and Sights! - This was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on! Lawrence recommended a terrific slate of whisky tastings at a varied group of distilleries, including a stop at the Cooperage. His brother Billy picked us up from the hotel and was a delightful guide all day. He was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the day. The van was very large and accommodated the four of us (including 2 tall guys) very well. We highly recommend this tour!!

Speyside Whisky Tour - We planned a private day trip whisky tour with a small group of friends while visiting Scotland. We wanted to stick to the Speyside region.
We originally met Lawrence online as his website provided detailed descriptions of what our group wanted to experience. His company also had excellent reviews.
Lawrence was wonderful as he helped us design our tour. He was quick to respond to emails and provided necessary details and information that allowed us get exactly what we wanted out of our tour day.
Lawrence met our group in Inverness. He connected with our group instantly. He was funny, kind, personable and accommodating.
During our tour he provided stories of his personal life and connection to the area. He was knowledgeable of local history as well as the whisky scene which was of particular interest to our group.
By days end (after four distillery whisky tours/tastings) we would claim Lawrence as a friend. He alone created the atmosphere that set the stage for our shared incredible experience.
If you are looking for a premier tour company with a personal touch to help complete your own incredible journey look no further, Lawrence and his team will fix you up right!

The Best! - We did two tours with Lawrence. He was great. He was very informative about Scotland history and the sites we saw along the way. He is very well known at all the whiskey places we stopped and we felt we were treated very special. We were able to customize this tour to go to a distillery that was one of our group's favorites even though it was further away, Lawrence made it work. I would highly recommend this tour group and Lawrence!

Super Speyside Whisky Tour - Myself and my friends went to Speyside for a whisky tour with Highlander Private Tours. We went to GlenAllachie Distillery for a few drams and then we did the tour at the Speyside Cooperage which was fantastic and then we went to Macallan where we saw the very impressive whisky wall and enjoyed a few excellent drams.

Fantastic service from start to finish and a great day exploring! - An an absolutely brilliant day exploring Speyside, organised from start to finish by Highlander Private Tours. Once they knew what we particularly wanted to see, they built a tour around our request, with suggestions of their own, which were gratefully received. They even organised entrance and tours at the various locations and escorted us to the reception desks! Excellent recommendation for lunch was also appreciated.
A superb day out and Billy was great company - we'll definitely use them again the next time we're in Scotland.
