1/4 Lower Animas- first time with younger kids - There are multiple to our companies I debated on using. I am so, so glad we decided to go with Mountain Waters for our first experience white water rafting.
We did the 1/4 day lower Animas trip. Our group consisted mostly of kids ages 4 to 10. Logan, the TL, Rafe, one raft guide, and the other raft guide (a girl with long brown hair, I don’t recall her name) were awesome. We never felt unsafe. They answered any and all of our questions, and we even got to swim in the river! We left with nothing but smiles, and a want to ride more rapids.
I cannot recommend them enough!

Kayak the Animas - Amelia was our guide for the kayak tour down the Animas River and she did an incredible job or overseeing about 25 parents and children while entertaining us and teaching us the best way to enjoy our experience. It was my sister’s first time doing this and she felt so comfortable and safe while navigating her own kayak under the care of our guide. Thank you! Kurt and Dee

Perfect length, total fun! - The trip was pure, easy, fun from start to finish. Guides Chris and Kina were knowledgeable, funny and upbeat, and still kept safety first. They made sure we all had a great time and got the best ride the river had to offer. Highly recommend!

Excellent time on the Animas River - We throughly enjoyed our rafting trip with Mountain Waters. Eric was our guide and he was personable and genuine. We would recommend their services to anyone.

Kayaking in the duckies is a blast - We did a few hours through Durango on inflatable kayaks. Our guide Jake was pretty chill and put everyone at ease. Very helpful. Some fun rapids at the end. Running them in a kayak will get ur heart pumping.

First and fabulous rafting experience! - This was my family's first rafting experience and Mountain Waters Rafting made it amazing! Jessie, our guide, was fantastic and a true professional. He also has a great sense of humor! We felt confident and comfortable on our first trip down the white water of the Animas. Would most definitely recommend!

best durango experience! - this was one of the funnest things i did in durango!! i would highly recommend doing it. very family friendly and extremely fun!! dillon was the best river guide anyone could ask for! he was super funny, friendly and just fun to be around!

Great kayak experience - My husband and I went kayaking on the 2 hour trip down the Animas river.
Had a thrill of a lifetime down the class 3 rapids in the single kayak.
Loved the trip and highly recommend the kayak vs. the rafting in the summer when the river is running low. I will look forward to coming back and doing the half day next time.

Choose a different company, unprofessional!!!! - The Kayaking itself was great and we had a great time enjoying the outdoors and the river. As a family we have experienced many guided tours and these guides were the WORST. The guides destroyed our trip. Our "Duckie" instructor Axel, was horrific. He did not give clear instructions and did not guide, give advise or even have any knowledge about surrounding areas of the tour. He made myself and my children very uncomfortable as he was condescending and offered no guidance. Axel made a remark to my son (15) that made him very upset and was not appropriate. On the bus ride back our guides told off-color remarks and jokes that were offensive. We will never use this company again. They are unprofessional and gross humans.
