First time Rafters! - Traveled from Texas! Had a great experience with guide, Ashton! He was very knowledgeable,fun & kept us safe! 10/10!!!

Rafting the Animas was a perfect adventure for us. - We had a blast on the Animas river. We did a run in the raft and enjoyed that it was just us 3 and our guides. Next, we got in the Duckies and did another run through. It was more hands on and entertaining on the Duckies. My son “surfed” and I just went for a swim when I tried to. We got to see Shiloh and Jake in action when my son lost his paddle and then took a swim in the rapids. That ended up being my 12yr olds favorite part. He swam through the rapids to the rescue rope Shiloh threw to him. They made sure he was safe, then had to rescue the ducky still stuck in the rapid. I only wish I had pictures of us in the Duckies when he went in, but only our rafting was captured in the digital photos but they were amazing photos provided after our trip.

Fun filled Rafting Adventure Day - We had an amazing adventure day with Hannah and Logan. We were worried the half day would be too short and am so glad we went for the full adventure day because the day just flew by. Our two boys, ages 10 and 6, were with us and it was the perfect first time rafting experience for them. Our boys loved playing and joking around with our guides and they were wonderful and took good care of them. The adventure day was tailored for us, the scenery was gorgeous, the rafting was so fun, we got to stop for a couple dips in the river, go through the rafting park twice per our oldest son’s request, and enjoyed the delicious snacks and lunch our guides prepared for us. The adventure day with Hannah and Logan was the highlight of our 2 week road trip and we look forward to another future trip.

White Water Rafting to Remember! - This trip will be remembered for years to come! Lots of rapids, great crew, friendly fellow rafters and great laughs. We had a fabulous guide, Hannah, who kept us all on the boat, haha! Mountain Waters Rafting provided wetsuits and jackets so we were well suited up for the white water. Definitely recommend this company & taking this trip and looking forward to our next rafting adventure!

Durango Animas River Rafting June 2025 - We had an amazing experience with Mountain Waters Rafting and Adventure Co! We “boated” down the Animas River in Durango, Colorado. Kina was the “funnest” trip leader and guide!! A must do when in Durango!! We kept Rules 1 and 2-Stay in the boat! Great experience! Whole family.

Awesome River Trip! - Had an awesome time! We had perfect weather. Our guides Shea & Shiloh were great! She was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information along the river. Would go with this group anytime!!!

Just do it. Trust me. - Our experience was fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job not only ensuring our safety but also letting us enjoy the river to its fullest. Hannah was our personal guide. They ensured the boats weren’t over crowded for us to avoid getting stuck like other companies, not to name any names that start with C. lol I could sense a healthy rivalry that made it even more enjoyable. I also enjoyed seeing the coworkers interact with each other just having fun. They weren’t afraid to have some fun and encourage us to join in which I needed and enjoyed! We have two young children with us, 4 and 6 and I never felt like their safety was compromised. The safety measures were explained to us in detail and Hannah was always more than willing to answer our silly question during our time on the river. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. Just do it! It was one of our highlights of our trip even with younger children. Also, buy the pictures because you won’t be taking many, if any!

The perfect efficient fun day on the river - We wanted to introduce our daughter to whitewater rafting in a reasonable and fun environment and Mountain Waters delivered. Emily, Jack and Trevor were excellent guides who truly enjoyed what they were doing and that allowed us all to have a fun refreshing experience on a hot Durango day. The only negative I could possibly conjure up was the 3 phone calls I received between booking and rafting going over the rules and what to bring over and over and over again. It probably comes from a place of necessity when they routinely have people arrive unprepared. No big deal really and everything day of was perfect.

Needleton section of Upper Animas - perfect day! - Amazing day on the Needleton section of the Upper Animas River! Water was high, flow was fast, air temp was hot which made the chilly water feel great, our guide David was fun, skilled & knowledgeable, and rest of the crew - Nickle, Pete, Michael & Brianna were awesome. Our family of 4 (including 16 & 18yr olds), all of whom had prior rafting experience, had the perfect adventure-filled day and felt totally safe with David and team. Appreciated prepping with the day before on-water orientation and dip in the cold water. Top notch operation!

A great day on the Animas river - Great day - it was even better than expected because it was effectively a private trip with only the two of us. Andy and Keena were awesome guides with loads of knowledge and tales to tell.
