Originally established as part of the WWF black rhino range expansion project, Manyoni has evolved into a leading big five safari destination in Kwa-Zulu Natal, with a strong emphasis on endangered species conservation. Spanning 23,000 hectares of stunning Zululand landscape, it is just 3 hours from Durban. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a 3-hour open vehicle game drive with Luleka Safaris on off-road terrain to truly experience Africa.
• Hluhluwe Game Reserve - Located in the heart of Zululand, Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is home to Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhinoceros) amidst the thriving savannah. Established in 1895, it is the oldest park in South Africa, covering over 98,000 hectares of breathtaking African scenery. This tour is conducted in a closed vehicle. The park boasts a vast diversity of fauna and flora and is characterized by hilly terrain. The variety of animals in the park is extensive and diverse. Hluhluwe Game Reserve forms the northern top half of the reserve, renowned for its rich bird and animal life. South of Hluhluwe is the Imfolozi Game Reserve, which constitutes half of the park. These two reserves were merged to create the largest reserve in KwaZulu Natal. The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Reserve is famous for its White Rhino conservation efforts. Their Centenary Capture Centre is celebrated for its outstanding research in animal capture.
