Upon crossing into North Macedonia, the trip continues to the charming town of Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The drive meanders through picturesque hills and countryside, culminating at the beautiful shores of Lake Ohrid.
In Ohrid’s Old Town, the rich history and cultural significance are vividly brought to life. The walking tour includes a visit to the Church of St. John at Kaneo, dramatically situated on a cliff with stunning lake views. As the tour progresses through cobbled streets, stops include the Ancient Amphitheatre, a well-preserved Hellenistic relic, and the bustling City Center and traditional Old Bazaar.
Skopje - Departing from Ohrid, the journey continues with a scenic drive to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Covering 170 km in approximately 2.5 hours, the route offers breathtaking mountain views.

Upon arrival, the picturesque Old Stone Bridge welcomes visitors to Prizren, where the elegant Sinan Pasha Mosque stands as a testament to the city’s rich heritage. A short walk leads to Prizren Fortress, offering panoramic views over the town, perfect for capturing unforgettable moments. Prizren – Shkodër (Albania)
Shkoder - Returning to Albania, the drive to Shkodër covers 180 km and takes approximately 3 hours. Known for its artistic ambiance and historical depth, this northern city offers a perfect blend of nature and culture. Instead of visiting museums, a relaxing drive to Shirokë Village, a tranquil lakeside retreat by Lake Shkodër, provides a perfect coffee break amidst stunning scenery.

Shkodër – Kotor – Shkoder
Kotor - On the fourth day, the tour ventures into Montenegro, with the first stop at St Stephen (Sveti Stefan) for a panoramic photo opportunity.
The journey continues to Kotor, a UNESCO-listed city nestled within the stunning Bay of Kotor. The 23 km drive takes 30 minutes, offering breathtaking views of Montenegro’s dramatic coastline. In Kotor, the beautifully preserved Old Town is explored, with its medieval streets, Venetian-style buildings, and ancient churches. A relaxed lunch in Kotor provides the perfect chance to savor Montenegrin cuisine before returning to Albania.
Shkoder - The return drive to Shkodra features scenic mountain landscapes and picturesque coastal roads.
During the summer months of July and August, an alternative shorter route through Old Bar City and Ulqin is suggested to avoid overwhelming traffic and ensure a pleasant tour experience.
