- Statue of Ismoil Somoni - The tour kicks off with a visit to the Ismoil Somoni complex, featuring the monument of Ismoil Somoni and Dusti Square. This monument honors Ismoil Somoni, the founder of the Tajik nation’s statehood, who led the Samanids State in the 8th-9th century. The monument stands 11.5 meters tall, with an arch reaching 40 meters, symbolizing the Eastern state.
The National Library - Situated in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, this is the country’s primary library, dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of the Republic of Tajikistan’s people. The original state library in Dushanbe was established in 1933 and named after the Persian-Tajik author Ferdowsi. The new national library building, which opened in March 2012, boasts a nine-story structure with 15 reading halls and over 20 departments.
- National Library of Tajikistan - Next, the tour visits the remarkable National Library, located in the Somoni complex. As the main library of the country, it plays a crucial role in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Republic of Tajikistan. The original State Library in Dushanbe was founded in 1933 and named after the esteemed Persian-Tajik author Ferdowsi. The new national library building, opened in March 2012, is a marvel with its nine stories, 15 reading halls, and over 20 departments.
- National Museum of Tajikistan - The next stop is Rudaki Park and Flagpole. The STATE FLAG SQUARE, located in central Dushanbe to the left of the Nation Palace, holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest flagpole in the world. The flagpole stands 165 meters tall, with an area of 1800 m2, a width of 30 meters, and a length of 60 meters.
Following this, the tour proceeds to the National Museum. The NATIONAL MUSEUM, located in central Dushanbe, comprises 22 large and small exhibition halls, including departments of nature, antiquity, the middle ages, modern history, and fine and applied arts. The National Museum of Tajikistan covers an exhibition area of 15,000 m2.
- Navruzgoh Racecourse - Navruzgoh Park, inaugurated in 2014 to celebrate the international holiday of Navruz, spans 146 square meters between the Nation Palace and Navruzgoh. The park’s 15 hectares feature a variety of trees, including pine, viburnum, lilac, cedar, fir, juniper, magnolia, sycamore, chestnut, red maple, and more. Despite its proximity to the city center, the park offers a distinct atmosphere with abundant greenery, trees, and fountains, including the “Sharshara” waterfall. It’s an excellent spot for families with children and a pleasant place for walking or cycling. The park is especially beautiful in the evenings.
- Kokhi Navruz - KOHI NAVRUZ is a newly constructed venue with 12 unique halls, each designed in a distinct national style, capable of hosting up to 3200 guests simultaneously. The tour then moves to the observation deck at Dushanbe-Plaza, a 25-story building and the capital’s business center, located on Rudaki Avenue. Here, visitors can gain more detailed information about Dushanbe and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
- Independence And Freedom Monument - The Istiqlol-Independence Monument and Istiqlol Square were inaugurated on September 8, 2022. The Istiqlol complex stands 121 meters tall, symbolically representing the 30th anniversary of State independence with its 30-meter lower section, and the 91-meter upper section signifies the independence achieved in 1991. The entire “Istiqlol” complex covers 11,900 square meters, with the construction area spanning 4761 square meters. At the top of the complex is an 8-meter titanium crown, symbolizing statehood, independence, state property, and civilization, as well as the historical knowledge of the ancient Tajik people. The complex’s base is an octagonal pyramid with seven entrances. The design, featuring the “Crown” symbol, is inspired by the “Tree of Life,” representing broad ideas.
- Botanical Garden - IRAM Park, located in the northern part of Dushanbe, covers 40 hectares. The main entrance is from the East, leading to the glass greenhouse, where the Botanical Garden’s alleys and paths begin. The park was established in Dushanbe in mid-1933.
- Imam A’zam Mosque - The program is excited to explore the fascinating world of Islam on several occasions! The foundation stone for the largest mosque in the Republic of Tajikistan was laid on October 5, 2009, in celebration of the 1310th anniversary of Abu Hanifa Numon ibn Sobit, the founder and leader of the tolerant Hanafi teachings. This significant event marked a milestone in the country’s history. The magnificent mosque, built on 12 hectares of land, has a main building occupying 3 hectares and features three grand entrances. It can accommodate an impressive 133,000 worshippers at once, with 43,000 inside the mosque and the rest gathering around it.
