Ziplining!!! - I had the best time! The first four little ones are a great warm up for the Flying Dutchman and the view while you’re up there is beautiful. I can’t wait to go again

Incredible Experience - My wife and I brought our two daughters and while my wife and oldest daughter ziplined, my younger daughter and I explored the museum. She enjoyed the looking at the iguanas on the grounds. We will certainly return on our next visit to the island.

10 out of 10 - This was absolutely thrilling, not for the faint of heart or if you’re unable to climb a lot of steps. We absolutely loved it, but definitely bring sunscreen. There’s a lot of uncovered area where you’re in the direct sun for quite a bit of time …but you should absolutely do it.

Amazing Views! - OMG THE VIEWS!!!!! Amazing views of all of St Maarten and the surrounding islands. If you’re not afraid of heights, I 100% recommend you at least take the chair lift and go up to the Sky Deck to take in the view. My daughter and I were the only brave ones to venture up to do this. If you have a fear of heights, the chair lift to the top may be too much as well. The Sentry Hill zip line was a nice series of four zip lines that wasn’t too much. Had some decent views. After the Sentry line there’s another separate chair lift to ride to the top to take you to the Flying Dutchman. Wasn’t scary at all, the harness felt extremely safe. They do have a zippered pouch on the harness for you to put some small valuables (phone, wallet, water bottle).

I liked it a lot - It was so much fun & a great experience! The only downfall is the wait at the end which is the Flying Dutchman. We were waiting for over two hours.

9/10 would go again! - We had a great time and enjoyed our experience. The braking system was amazing compared to other Ziplines I have been on recently. I will say workers were not using their safety equipment on the zip line, safety stop lines etc , which could have been why someone behind us got hurt. The pics make you think all 4 of our party would get to go on the Flying Dutchman at the same time. That is not the case. Overall 9/10 would do again!

Flying Dutchman was awesome, Sentry Hill Zip Lines were exciting; the Schooner ride was okay - We purchased the Zipline Triple Combo from online. The 5 stars refers to the exciting ziplines that are well worth it. The service and operation of the adventure on this day substantially lacked and gets 3 stars at best. We arrived on the 14th of November just before opening time and there was about 20 people ahead of us. As soon as you arrive, ensure you scan the bar code on the wall near the cashiers to get signed in and sign the waiver which you must do before entering. Some phones are randomly slower than others. My iPhone 14 Pro took way too long making it necessary to do my sign-in and waiver on my wife's iPhone. SCHOONER TUBE RIDE: Our wrist band identified our choices and we were directed to get off the lift at the Schooner tube ride first, even though we didn’t want to. DON’T DO IT. We would not have in hindsight. The Schooner ride was a big mistake as the wait for it was very long, was not worth the ride, and ultimately increased our wait to get on the Flying Dutchman by double that, as wait for it increases substantially with time. The 3 others in my group went down the tube ride smoothly and was generally fun, but my tube was a crappy one and they had to push me down most of the 750 feet. Not happy! THE 4-ZIPLINE SKY EXPLORER was next and was exciting. You wear a light belt harness with thin ropes (relatively speaking) to hold on to. All 4 ziplines were fast at about 15 seconds each with a very fast stop at the end. There is no close ground underneath you between points, but the oncoming stop ramp gives you an increasing sense of speed right up until you hit the braking point, which really gets your adrenalin going. Just FYI for context, our average age is 62; we are very uncomfortable with heights; my wife doesn’t care for roller coaster rides, but can ride some of them; I won’t ride any except for the very few that are not at all “thrilling” to others who like them. THE 2,630 FOOT FLYING DUTCHMAN: When we finally got to the top, we waited at least 3 hours to get on the Flying Dutchman, which included a 30 minute lull when it rained during which the ride was suspended. It also included their allowing at least 1 dozen ship crew members to cut the line, plus another couple who were allowed to cut the line. All of them because, allegedly, it was getting late and they all needed to get back to their ship, which departed at least 30 minutes later than ours, and many others waiting with us. Many of us complained to no avail. We were supposed to be back by 5pm with our ship sailing at 5:30. We finished the ride uncomfortably close at 4:30 barely getting back by 5pm after waiting for our bus to fill before leaving to the ship, and then with heavy traffic too. Thankfully, the comfortable seat and connecting apparatus of the Dutchman are vastly more robust. The Dutchman was flat-out awesome and not just because it’s much faster. -The first 2 seconds of the drop were a tad bit scary, partly because it looks scary and partly because of the fast acceleration from 0 to 30-40 mph. -The next 10 seconds were not scary at all per se, including the continued acceleration to around 55 mph, but was genuinely thrilling. -The next 20-25 seconds were not thrilling per se, but rather enjoyably exciting. -The last 7-8 seconds went very quickly from exciting, to thrilling, and then to scary in the last 2 seconds. It would not have been “scary” at all had we known the better braking system was much more smooth. Even though our speed had slowed a little, it became more and more thrilling as the ground got closer and closer. In the last 100+ yards or so the ground dramatically shoots upwards to a final 70-80 yard flat landing area. This dramatically increased both our sense of speed and our fear of an extremely abrupt stop, which never materialized thankfully. We would loved to have done it again and I am certain we would not have felt “scared” at all had we known what we do now. WE VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this! We also recommend skipping the Schooner tube ride unless you have time to do it last.

Great experience, but be prepared to wait around a LOT. - If your goal is to do the Dutchman, don't sign up for anything else. Go straight from the gondola to the Dutchman. We did Sentry Hill first on the 11 AM spot. By the time we got to the Dutchman, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait to do the zipline. So while we started at 11, we didn't get down the hill until 4:30 in the afternoon. There's no food at the top, only a bar with zero snacks. So also highly recommend you bring snacks, drinks, gatorade - whatever you can comfortably carry in a small backpack. Several of our group, and other groups left without doing the Dutchman because of the wait, and there are no refunds. Sentry HIll was a nice warm up, and if you are good to spend your whole day there, go for it. Just know what to expect - it is not a 3 hour activity! People who did the intertubes liked those as well (we had plenty of time to chat with our fellow travelers for the Dutchman - we were in the line for an hour and a half. Sign up/get on the list as soon as you get the top (something else they didn't tell us) so we killed about an hour in the bar/shade/etc waiting to get called to stand in line. Also, it opens at 11, but recommend you get there at 10:30 and that you have your waivers signed and ready to go. This might minimize time standing in lines.

We were happy overall with this experience. - We enjoyed this adventure. We were disappointed in the tube ride as it was slow and we even stopped while in route. The line was really long for the Dutchman, however, the process was really good.

Overbooked - Rainforest Anventures severely overbooked the Flying Dutchman, resulting in a more than 2 hour wait time to go on the ride. Had to leave without riding the Flying Dutchman to ensure I made it back to the ship on time. Would not recommend.
