History of My Son:

Nestled in a narrow valley encircled by mountains, this temple and tower complex is a remarkable example of ancient Cham architecture.

My Son originally comprised 70 architectural structures, ranging from small to large buildings. It served as the holy land for the Cham people from the 4th to the 13th century, primarily dedicated to the deities Shiva, Krishna, and Vishnu. Today, only about 20 temples remain due to wartime destruction.

In the 4th century, during King Bhadravarman’s reign, after the construction of Tra Kieu, My Son became the religious center of the Cham kingdom, hosting royal members, aristocrats, and significant religious ceremonies.

The Ba Na cable car line, recognized by Guinness World Records, holds two world records: the longest cable car line (5,042.62m) and the greatest elevation difference between stations (1,291.81m).
