Well worth a visit - My Son is a facinating place in the middle of the jungle. The ruins are still being explored and uncivered but the total extent and layout of the site remains a mystery. It is well worth a visit. The weather was very hot in May, when we visited so make sure that you are prepared with a hat and/or sun shade as the site itself has very little shade. The boat trip added little, but did give a chance for us to eat in the fresh air. We were given the chance to finish our trip on Hoi An rather than back at the hotel but I don't think anyone took up that option.

A ride worth a visit:) - Very rewarding visit and warmly told by the guide! We even had the opportunity to taste a traditional dish, discover the method of making rice leaves and enjoy a boat tour. I therefore recommend without hesitation, but advise to protect your skin well on sunny days; the heat within the sanctuary can be overwhelming.

Van is a great tour guide! The lady at the rice paper making was so sweet! - My Son is a beautiful place a must see. This tour was efficient from the get go. They messaged via WhatsApp to ensure all info was correct and then confirmed all our details. They picked us up/and dropped us off to our resort (which was quite out of the way tbh). Our tour guide was a lovely man called Van. He was highly knowledgeable and articulate during the tour, so made the experience that much better. The food was very good and they even catered to a vegan in our group, who was a happy lass! The lady at the rice paper making part was sooo adorable, she was sweet and attentative which really helped when we were able to join in! Top tip: if you're travelling in May it can get quite humid, so pack a fan and wear breathable clothing! All in all, it's very value for money and I would highly recommend it!

In a hurry and repetitive - The ruins themselves are beautiful. The problem is that the guide only shows you part of the ruins during the tour. It only leaves you 10 minutes to walk alone. He won't let you take pictures while he's talking. I find it very bad when you have paid for your ticket to enjoy the entire venue. And it takes you to the museum where you spend 20 minutes repeating everything he has already said. I think it is a waste of time, better to go free, and that you search the information on the internet, because the level of English is not very good either.
