Enjoyable Snorkeling Tour of St. John - We were one of four vacationing couples and four locals that took a trip to Maho Bay and special bonus stop at Carval Rock and Congo Cay. Large green turtles the size of trashcan lids with remora fish attached were easily found snorkeling and appearing at the surface, as well. The snorkeling equipment was clean and Capt. Wallens applied baby shampoo to the lens of the googles for us to prevent fogging up which worked great. The captain told us about the emptying of the cannons at Carval Rock, they weren’t allowed to enter port otherwise. More snorkeling at Congo Cay and then back to Red Hook marina. We throughly enjoyed our 4 hour excursion with Seas The Day Charters and tours.

HIGHLY recommended! - We had such an amazing day. We are celebrating our honeymoon and Wallens (the captain) took us to Maho Bay in St. John and then a private secret snorkel spot tucked away between two cays where the waters were beautiful teal and blue and contained such pretty elkhead coral and purple coral, along with so many awesome fish sightings and urchins! When we were at Maho Bay, I had turtles surfacing around me and got some of the best photos! I recommend brining a underwater camera to document the amazing experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Well worth it and had an amazing time !

Delightful snorkeling in warm waters of St Thomas/St John/Lavango Cay - We loved our time with Captain Hillary and our small group aboard her boat. There was 10 guests total. After navigating across the “washing machine” where choppy waters converged, smoother boating was found at the delightful Lovango Cay where snorkeling was great! Water depth was approx 12 feet. After about an hour we went over to Honeymoon beach St John VI. We had to take about a 5 minute swim to reach the beach as the boat was not allowed to come to shore. Water depth under boat much deeper at approx 25-35 feet. Some of us went toward the beach to the sand and visited the snack bar for frosty drinks. And some enjoyed more snorkeling and the beautiful warm water at St John. Snorkeling was in front of the Rangers house. We saw turtles and a variety of fish. Onboard was snorkeling euippment, water beer and soda. BEAWARE! Staff is adamant that your sunscreen be reed friendly. A friend thought theirs was but Captain Hillary said it wasn’t when it contained certain ingredients. Blue lizard is good.

Seas the Day Snorkeling - Captain Glen was wonderful. So great to have a fun, knowledgeable captain. Also really happy with the smaller amount of people on our boat (11 + Glen). Boat had great cover. Snorkeling spots were nice. Saw turtles, rays, fish and a starfish. Super cool.

The beach portion has to... - The beach portion has to be swam to, the boat cannot take you all the way to shore. The snorkeling there is great though.

Great st John Snorkeling Experience - Seas the Day experience out of Red Hook was awesome! We chose the small group Hydra experience to maximize time for three snorkeling spots: turtles, coral and a sunken boat with colorful fish. Captain Sammie was professional, knowledgable and helpful with tips and tricks. The four hour experience was just right to see the northern beaches of St John and surrounding islands. Don’t hesitate to do this with family and friends. The sun setting as we returned to the marina made for a perfect experience! Parking in Red Hook can be tight in the afternoon, so maybe taxi there to take the stress off.

Seas the Day snorkeling - Shared charter wasn't bad, only 9 people but seeing much of anything was not good at all. Parked us so far away in the deepest part that you had to swim 100 yrd to get to seagrass at Maho beach. I thought we would snorkel places only accessible by boat. Not my favorite excursion. Better snorkeling free from the beaches.
