Surabaya - Mount Bromo
Surabaya - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Surabaya, Juanda International Airport, or Surabaya Train Station before 10 am. It is highly recommended to arrive before 12 noon.
Mount Bromo - At 11:30 pm to 3:00 am, depart from the hotel, train station, or airport in Surabaya or Malang and travel to Sukapura Village. From 3:00 am to 4:00 am, switch to a Jeep and drive to Mount Penanjakan to witness the sunrise. Arrive at Penanjakan at 4:00 am and enjoy a coffee break while waiting for the sunrise. At 4:30 am, experience the sunrise at Mount Penanjakan. At 6:00 am, drive to Mount Bromo Crater. From 6:00 am to 8:00 am, climb the volcano crater. From 8:00 am to 9:00 am, explore the whispering sand and Luhur Temple. From 9:00 am to 10:00 am, have breakfast at a local restaurant. From 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, drive to the hotel in Banyuwangi or Bondowoso, which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours depending on traffic. Stop for lunch at 2:00 pm. Arrive at the hotel at 5:00 pm and enjoy some rest.
Mount Ijen
Ijen Crater - Wake up at midnight and head to Mt Ijen. From 12:00 am to 2:30 am, drive to Mt Ijen. From 2:30 am to 3:00 am, begin the climb up Mt Ijen, which takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours. From 3:30 am to 5:00 am, witness the Blue Flame and observe the sulfur mining. The Blue Flame is only visible before sunrise, which is why the journey begins at midnight. From 6:00 am to 7:00 am, descend from Mt Ijen. At 8:00 am, enjoy breakfast provided by the hotel in a Breakfast Box. From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, drive back to Surabaya or Malang.
