Views and history - Sarah the great great grand daughter of the famous smuggler John smoky Mills was our skipper. The boat was luxurious. We saw the local seal and the breathtaking cliffs. This is a fantastic trip out!

Wow, just WOW - As the title suggests, wow! From the “meet and greet” to the friendly wave bye bye, Paul, our skipper was incredible Safely kitted out with life jackets, we effortlessly left the quay listening to a prerecorded message, all about smugglers and the Seven Sisters, with all the necessary safety messages woven into the story, explaining that whatever happens, you are 100% safe at all times, reassuring to us who had never been on a boat, but went with friends who’d been before and were keen to go out with Maverick again. As if by magic, we reached the harbour entrance just as the message finished, a quick look around from Paul, with a cheery “hold onto your hats” we were off! How do you explain flying, but on water? The Sun was shining, the sky was azure blue, mirror matching the slightly choppy sea and we were racing across it, the Kittiwakes in the sky wheeling above our heads, the spray from the bows, arcing out either side of us, looking like crystal in the sunshine! Sounds all a bit “arty farty” but it’s hard to explain just how magical it is to feel absolutely 100% safe and secure, be sat in comfort, and be gliding along, the majesty of the world famous Seven Sisters looming in front of you, the wind on your face, and the hiss of the Sea and the boat effortlessly pushes you across the bay. All through the tour, Paul explains things you see in depth. Just why are the Seven Sisters white? Why are they there? Why are the Kittiwakes nesting? What’s the friendly seal who “popped up” to say hello name? Who owns this? That? Why are the horses on the downs now? All too soon your gliding back into the Port of Newhaven, amazed as to how much time has passed so quickly, and just how exhilarating, exciting and interesting the adventure has been Our Country is beautiful, but at its best when your taken in luxury and comfort at speed to the best bits and treated to local knowledge by a man who clearly loves his job, loves sharing his passion with his guests, a man who’s boatman ship is instinctive and reassuring and who cares that his clients have the best possible trip. We don’t own a boat and were a tiny bit hesitant, but so delighted we took the opportunity and “bit the bullet” our friends were right If your going to enjoy an adventure on the water, book Maverick Boat Adventures

Spectacular, go go go! - Absolutely fantastic! The guide Sarah told us lots of interesting local information and stories and kept us thoroughly entertained. The boat ride was thrilling and invigorating with some welcome stops in sunspots to enjoy the view and try to see Stephen the seal but sadly he was elsewhere. The Seven Sisters were spectacular and the ride back was lovely with some funky music giving us chilled Ibiza vibes. LOVED IT!

It was great. - It was a really fun boat trip with nice weather. The contrast between the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and the blue of the sea was beautiful. You have to walk an hour to get there from land, but if you're on a boat, you'll arrive at the Seven Sisters in no time. It was a day where we didn't have anything to talk about or say happily.
