The best tour our Kiwi family has ever done - Our tour of Gallipoli was amazing and by far one of the best tours we've ever done - mostly due to our awesome guide; Sinan Gokdemir. Sinan's knowledge of the area and its history was outstanding. Being Kiwis, he was very careful to point out areas of interest to us and tailored our tour to visiting the memorials dedicated to the ANZACs in particular. To hear the events of 1914 - 15 brought to life in the way Sinan did was humbling and it was very emotional to see the places and sites where the events occurred. It is well worth paying the extra cost for a guide, as otherwise it would be difficult to understand the significance of what you are looking at. Ensure you allow the full day, and more, as the drive from Istanbul to Gallipoli Peninsula is 5-6 hours each way, depending on traffic.

Efficient & Memorable History Tour from Istanbul to Kuşadası - We did the 2-day Gallipoli, Troy, and Pergamon tour with Turkland Travel, and it was a fantastic way to see some of Turkey’s most important historical sites while traveling down the west coast. Thank you to our tour guide Baris for sharing his knowledge and passion with us and to our driver Murat for getting us safely to our destination. The logistics were well-handled: comfortable transport and timely pickups. Overall a great way to get from Istanbul to Kuşadası with our teenagers while learning a lot along the way.

Exceptional tour of Gallipoli - We were lucky to have retired lecturer Kenan as our guide showing us around Gallipoli & Anzac Cove. His knowledge was exceptional, particularly the intricate details of the landing, going the extra mile to stop & show us additional sites along the way. Well worth the tour particularly if you have Kenan as your guide. 10/10

Educational / history for family with adult children - The most incredible experience . An exceptional way to learn about Turkey and the history from the most knowledgeable guides . Everything from the restaurants we visited to the rug co ops were completely authentic . Our family of 5 with 3 adult children loved it , and the guides and drivers had great humour and were so enjoyable to spend our time with . The organisation from beginning to end was unbelievable and nothing was ever to much trouble to change to our needs along the way , We will come back

The purpose was to understand more of the local culture and history by staying in the old towns. - The itinerary and planning was very well put together with great support from drivers and guides. We came away from the trip with a better understanding of the people, culture and the Muslim faith.

Awesome Turkey - We had a wonderful time in Turkey thanks to our superb guide Sinan Gokdemir. Our trip was short but made very special by Sinan's fantastic assistance and guiding. We think we got 10 days out of our 6 days in Turkey. The organisation and leadership took us to places very quickly and efficiently. Sinan's knowledge and advice on a wide range of subjects was invaluable - his knowledge of Turkey and the wider region surrounding Turkey was impressive - the history, religion, geography, infrastructure, regional politics and Turkeys strategic position as an important country that joins the east and west (Europe and Asia) was very powerful, detailed and highly researched. Sinans knowledge of your country is immense. We liked his many stories of Turkey and its people, and of the Greek and Turkish mythology. Gallipoli was very impressive and had a big impact on us as New Zealanders. We have a strong affinity with the Turkish people that goes back to 1915 at the Battle of Gallipoli. We thank you for your kindness to us and your consideration. Sinan was very calm and considerate and has a charming smile. Thank you again for a very special time in Turkey.

Private Gallipoli tour - Sincere thanks to Sinan - a wonderful guide & historian who was able to explain my grandfather’s WW1 AIF 14th Battalion battle at Hill 971 Gallipoli. We actually walked Hill 971 as well as Shrapnel Gully in full. Sinan - An exceptional military historian, anthropologist and classical civilization lecturer gave us an appreciation of Turkey with WW1 insights into the strategies & different battles from both Aus, Brit & Turkish viewpoints. More importantly Sinan really looked after us oldies. Sinan guided us thoughtfully around the steep sloped memorials, tree roots, slippery sandy slopes as well as offering direct assistance where we needed it.
