Santa Cruz Island - Option 1: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra before 12:00 PM
Upon arrival at Baltra airport, an English-speaking guide will greet you and escort you to the port of Puerto Ayora for lunch. At approximately 02:00 PM, you will board a small public speedboat to Isabela Island, which may be a bumpy and wet journey. Once on Isabela Island, a driver will meet you and take you to visit the Flamingo Lagoon for a brief stop. Afterwards, the driver will take you to your hotel.
Santa Cruz Island - Option 2: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra after 12:00 PM
For flights arriving after 12:00 PM, you will spend your first day on Santa Cruz Island, as the last speedboat to Isabela Island departs around 03:00 PM. Please be aware that if you arrive after 03:00 PM, lunch will not be provided. The typical itinerary is as follows: Day 2: Bahia half-day tour & Charles Darwin Station, Day 3 morning boat to Isabela, Los Tuneles, Day 4 morning boat to Santa Cruz and transfer out.
SNORKELING IN LOS TUNELES
Los Tuneles - In the early morning, embark on a 30 to 40-minute boat ride from Puerto Villamil to explore the stunning scenery of Los Tuneles, renowned as the most beautiful snorkeling spot on Isabela Island. The snorkeling area spans about 800 meters, with an average water temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. Departure times range from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, subject to availability and National Park regulations. Depending on your schedule, you may choose to explore Concha Perla independently before or after visiting Los Tuneles, as it is conveniently located near the dock.
CHARLES DARWIN RESEARCH STATION – BAY TOUR
Santa Cruz Island - At 06:00 AM, take the public speedboat to Santa Cruz Island, where breakfast will be served. Following breakfast, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. After lunch, embark on the Bay Tour, which highlights the attractions around Puerto Ayora by boat. The first stop is La Loberia, home to sea lions. A 15-minute boat ride will then take you to Punta Camaño Islet. You will also navigate a channel where Tintorera sharks and blue-footed boobies can be observed. The tour continues with a visit to the Channel of Love, concluding at Playa de Los Perros.
TRANSFER OUT – BALTRA
Galápagos Ecologic Airport - After breakfast, a Spanish-speaking driver will transport you to Baltra Airport for your departure to Quito or Guayaquil.

Upon your arrival at Baltra airport, you’ll be cordially greeted and a guide will escort you to the Puerto Ayora harbor. A swift speedboat will then transport you to Isabela Island, where attractions such as the Flamingo lagoon and Los Tuneles offer excellent snorkeling opportunities. In addition, there’s an option to partake in a self-led snorkeling session at Concha Perla. Once you return to Santa Cruz Island, a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station will enlighten you about his groundbreaking Theory of Evolution as well as the unique history and ecosystems of Galapagos. You’ll also get an up-close view of the enormous Galapagos tortoises and learn about the legendary Lonesome George, the last of his species, who passed away in 2012.
- Please note that the activity sequence depend on the availabilities of the different tours and transportation and your flight schedule. If have a late arrival to Galapagos, the sequence of your complete tour might change but you won’t miss any tours if you have an afternoon flight back to Ecuador on the last day.
- It is recommended to book flights with an early arrival time to the Galapagos Islands and a late departure time from the Galapagos Islands to make sure you can enjoy all of the activities of the tour. Late arrivals and/or early departures mean you might miss some activities.
- If your flight is delayed or canceled and you cannot make it to Puerto Ayora in time to take the last speedboat to Isabela Island, which departs around 02:00 PM, the team assists you with finding accommodation on Santa Cruz Island but this will be on your own expense. You will miss the planned activities.
- There are no guides on the transportation by public speedboat between islands.
- Try to only bring small baggage/bags since public transportation on the Galapagos Islands is quite small.
- Tap water on the Galapagos Islands might contain bacteria and should not be consumed, not even for brushing your teeth. Bottled or purified water is always recommended.
- Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precaution to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat ‘street food’, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
- It is important to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
- The operator reserves the right to change the itinerary without previous notice due to weather conditions, availabilities, National Park regulations or notifications and unforeseeable circumstances.
- It is possible that pictures will be taken during your tour, so it is recommended to bring a USB.
