- Temple of Kom Ombo - Continue your day tour to Kom Ombo from Edfu. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, you will be transferred to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands on elevated ground overlooking the Nile. This temple is unique due to its dual entrances, each dedicated to a deity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was constructed in honor of two gods, the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus.
