Excellent trip in the highlands - The people leading this tour, Louise and Lucky made the tour. They were both excellent. They were funny, informative and also patient. They provided a personal experience. No pre-recorded tapes but a dynamic and sometimes humorous narrative on historical events, historical or mythological. We had great weather and we were given ample opportunity to take photos to capture the magic of the place. By the tour end, I think everyone on the tour bus had mixed brilliantly but this was also down to the excellence of how both Lucky and Louise were able to engage us all. Thanks guys. Either together, or on your own, you're super tour guides. You've delivered an experience we'll remember fondly for years to come. Best wishes to you and to those we got to meet on this trip. Highly recommended way to see Scotland! - We had a phenomenal time with The Hairy Coo! We did the 3-Day Isle of Skye, Inverness & Highlands Tour and could not be happier with what we got to see, hear and do. Paul S. was our tour guide and he was phenomenal! He taught us so much about Scotland and Scottish culture, gave us excellent recommendations and was a fantastic driver/tour guide. We saw so many beautiful places in Scotland and appreciated the commentary throughout the travel from different locations. The music Paul plays also added so much to the experience! Highly recommend to anyone and will definitely book with them again when we return to Scotland!

Packed tour, we saw a lot! - Paul S. was a great and hilarious guide. We saw a lot in 3 days. I feel like a couple stops may have been unnecessary but I understand the driving hours have to be logged properly. I also think some more periods of unnarrated driving could’ve been worked in as it was just a lot to listen to commentary the whole time. BUT this tour really showed us a lot of places I wouldn’t have known about and Paul was very knowledgeable. My favorites were the Cairns, Glencoe and Inverness!

3 Day Isle of Skye Tour from Edinburgh - Fantastic 3 day tour from Edinburgh. No better way to see the highlights and gorgeous landscape of Scotland unless you want to spend several hours driving. Our bus driver Rod was unbelievable: super friendly, funny and great driver. It’s a long 3 days in a bus but soo worth it!

Must-do tour of the Highlands - This tour was amazing! William, our tour guide and driver, was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. We learned 10,000 years of Scottish history (and all the crazy stories) in 3 days. We debated renting a car for our family of 5 to do the whole drive through the highlands, but it was so much easier to take the tour and let someone else do the organizing and driving. There were frequent stops and bathroom breaks, and William knew all the quirks of each stop. When he wasn’t telling stories, he was playing music to set the mood as we drove. I would highly, highly recommend!

Great primer to Scotland - Paul S was our guide and he was very informative. He shared a lot of stories about Scottish culture/traditions. I felt extremely safe with his driving in really tricky areas. It was nice to see beautiful places in a short amount of time. We did spend a lot of time driving on the bus and at times, I felt uncomfortable. But the views were worth it and certainly a drive I would not be able to do on my own.

Unforgettable and unparalleled with Mike - I only wish that I could give Mike, our excellent Scottish guide, ten stars. I have gone on similar bus tours all over Europe and have never experienced the expertise and care provided by Mike. For three days this brilliant storyteller safely guided us, sharing Scottish stories and lore. When he wasn’t speaking he played Scottish music and songs of historical significance to enhance the overall experience. Mike was a delight and did not waver even when the weather was stormier than expected and a certain guest proved unnecessarily difficult. Mike approached every situation gracefully. He accommodated the groups specific requests and made us feel at home. I will be exclusively using (and recommending) The Hairy Coo during my future trips to Scotland. I hope to book a bespoke trip to Shetland—guides, if you’re reading this please add the islands to the north to your locations! Mike ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you for a truly unforgettable experience. You helped me fall in love with Scotland.
