Have to visit - It was fun, scary and a bit historical. It was absolutely amazing. The bonus is the cool photos that you get of the end of the tour.

Great fun and you learn something too! - This was a great addition to my whirlwind tour of Edinburgh—so inventive, an immersive, interactive, theatrical experience that also digs into the dirty underbelly of Edinburgh for history you won’t get so much of elsewhere. Certainly not in such a fun way. The souvenir photos were a hoot as well. Well worth the time and money.

Brilliant… nearly wee’d myself on the ride 😂 - My wife and I decided to visit the Dungeon as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. She’s been to the other Dungeons around the UK before and really enjoys them, but this was my first time experiencing one and I must say, it was a fantastic introduction. Starting with the customer service: we opted for the “Anytime” ticket rather than a fixed time slot, giving us a bit more flexibility. We initially made the booking on 18th May, but due to a late-night slip-up (we booked around 10pm and I went off the timed tickets to book the anytime ticket), I accidentally selected the wrong date. I called up first thing Monday morning to sort it out and was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it all went. The lady on the phone was lovely, she had a bit of a laugh at my mistake but was more than happy to switch the date to 25th May for us. No hassle at all, which was really appreciated. The experience itself was brilliant, highly entertaining, well put together, and full of unexpected (and funny) moments. The actors were fantastic for the most part, and the immersive atmosphere really brought the whole thing to life. That said, I’ve knocked the review down slightly for two reasons. Firstly, the actress in the cannibal section of the tour, while clearly putting effort into her performance with expressive movement and dramatic presence, was far too quiet. Unlike the rest of the cast, she just wasn’t projecting her voice, and unfortunately, I struggled to follow what she was saying. As someone who wears a hearing aid, I found it a bit frustrating and I suspect others may have had the same issue. It might be worth either lowering the background music during her part or equipping her with a discreet microphone so everyone can fully engage with the story. Secondly, the pricing of the photos taken before the tour and on the ride felt rather steep. While they’re a nice memento, I do think the cost could be made more reasonable, as it doesn’t cost them much for the paper or ink. All in all, though, we had a great time. It was a fun, memorable way to mark our anniversary, and I’d definitely recommend it, just a few tweaks would make the experience even better. P.S…. make sure you go with a completely empty bladder… at the ride section, I nearly wet myself

Good fun - Actors were great and friendly. Went as a couple, but there was a large group (probably around 16?) The only reason for four stars is that only a select few got called out and it wasn’t someone else getting “picked on” in each room, as the same person got called on quite a few times.

Don’t go to the dungeons - My experience at Edinburgh dungeons was very disappointing. Me and a group of friends managed to book tickets online. We where then told we couldn’t enter cause we where under 18 and this was not made clear until our tickets where already purchased. Staff were also rude and incompetent. 😡😡

Okay but best bits closed - Two aspects of the tour were closed and we were not told at time of booking. No apology or refund just "closed for annual maintenance". One of them being the highlight of the tour. If it was planned then we should have been told at time of booking.
