Aniela is the best! - This night tour is not for the faint of heart or small kids. It dives into the dark uncensored history of Edinburghs past. Our guide Aniela was welcoming, knowledgeable and very dramatic in her storytelling. It made the tour fun and kept my attention. You will be walking on uneven paths so sensible shoes are a must.

Amazing Haunted History Tour - We had an amazing experience. Jack was an excellent tour guide, even patient with my energetic children, very knowledgeable and engaging. We do ghosts tours all over and this was the perfect blend of history and spooky. Highly recommend!

Educational and Entertaining - Roger and Michael (?) were amazing! Great tour, relatively short, highly entertaining and educational, and budget-friendly. I would gladly go on another tour with these two men as the guides/leaders.

Explore a part of city... - Explore a part of city that can not be seen. Really worthwhile. The fact that the tour tool place in the night gave a special atmosphere

Great first night in Edinburgh experience - Jack was a charming host for the evening. Had a great mix of history, storytelling the macabre and ghost stories. Especially enjoyed the nighttime candle-lit vaults.

Informative but lacking in presentation. - We went on the ‘Doomed, Dead and Buried’ tour in the evening. It was informative but presented in a somewhat-Nickelodeon style, so it lacked atmosphere and the seriousness that the topics discussed merited. Some of the wider group couldn’t help but laugh at the enthusiastic attempt at suspense and drama. Three of my group can speak English as a second language and they can understand a lot, but they barely understood a word of the waterfall of Scottish-inflected English that flowed their way. A multi-lingual, pre-recorded tour that can be taken at one’s own pace would be better.

Fine Tour but Rain Makes it Slippery - Started off fine but it started raining and became extremely slippery on steep inclines. My wife fell, twisted her knee, and the guide didn’t stop, even for 30 seconds. The guide was aware as my wife was behind her when it happened, but the tour moved full speed ahead and I had to race up to return the listening devices - was moving so fast that I didn’t catch up to the guide but instead passed them onto another participant. Things happen, but this is definitely a tour at your own risk. And of course, the smallest bit of kindness, consideration or even a warning to walk carefully would have been appreciated.

Cringe - don’t waste your money - Awful. I can only assume an American would find this amusing. Just so unbearable, extremely cringe, little to no facts or info about the vaults. Ghost stories sounded like a child would’ve written - if anything I believe in ghosts less than what I did before. Waste of money and time.
