Creepy, dark and absolutely incredible! A Must-Do in Edinburgh. - Must do, whether you’re a believer or a skeptic! The flow of the tour was excellent. After meeting our tour guide at the Mercat cross, we spent half an hour roaming the dark streets on and off the Royal Mile, visiting several closes. Kirsty, our caddie, was exceptional and her delivery was incredible. The stories were very insightful and educational, even if dark. She really set the mood and managed to get all the group on edge, which really works well once you descend into the Blair Street vaults. The second part of the tour was another half hour in the underground vaults. We visited several rooms within the vaults, with Kirsty recounting stories about each room, or its paranormal residents. Her storytelling skills are impeccable! While we did not have a very active tour, we did experience a specific inexplainable moment in one of the rooms which made the whole group quite jumpy :) The vaults themselves take you back decades upon decades, and are a beauty to see within themselves. They can be dark and bumpy, and require some good mobility to navigate. That said, the guides take very good care of you. 10/10, would recommend this to anyone visiting Edinburgh and wanting a different, spookier experience, peering into the darker history of the city.

Edinburgh by night - It was a birthday treat for myself and family. Our tour guide helped to set an erie atmosphere as we walked through the streets of Edinburgh telling tales of ghosts and murder. My favourite part of the tour is when we entered the vaults, quite an oppressive atmosphere taking of past residents and activities. The best was yet to come as we entered a room finely decorated . Where we were offered a drink, mine was ballentines whisky which was delicious. More stories of ghosts were told and opinions asked. I love bed this tour and will be returning for another.

Immersion ghost walk experience would recommend - I love a ghost walk tour especially in Edinburgh and in the underground vaults .. Sophie was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable on her stuff ,what made it better was the use of headphones so we could hear her voice clearly as the city was busy, but also she played the sounds of what would be like back in the day. once we were in the Blair street vaults we could take off the headphones to get the full atmosphere there , taken round by candlelight hearing the stories , experiencing knocks and sounds, feeling the hairs onthe back of your neck go up was amazing. We were a small group so this was intensified, loved it. We finished off in one of the vaults which was dressed as a tavern , were given the choice of a alcoholic or soft drink , Sophie then proceeded to answer our questions before we were told a couple of ghost stories by candlelight . I loved this and will certainly go back for more tours .

Great way to spend the night in Edinburgh. - This tour really did a great job at creeping its audiences. I chose the late night slots and it was fantastic. I could feel the chill of the underground vaults. The host incorporated historically accurate elements into the horror stories which made it very chilling to hear. I would highly recommend going for this tour, especially at night.

Fun with a spooky side - This was a fun and interesting history tour of the old city. Our cadie (guide), Kirsty, was knowledgeable, friendly, and a fantastic story teller, well worth the tour cost. A great way to experience the city and, at around an hour, not too much time out of your day. A fun, curious, and sometimes eery experience, well worth your time.

Interesting and spooky - A very informative, interesting tour. The tour guide Steph is a fantastic story teller blending historical fact and spooky speculation. The vaults can feel a little claustrophobic but that only adds to the atmosphere (and if you freak out they will help you leave immediately). I would recommend this to anyone who likes to know a bit of the history of the area and likes to be a little bit frightened at the same time.

Hidden and Haunted Tour - We’ve just done the Hidden and Haunted tour with Michael as our guide and it was genuinely fantastic! Michael was nothing short of phenomenal, and we can’t thank him enough! The stories he told, and the way he told them was amazing, along with being in the creepy (in the best way) vaults just made it even better! We will absolutely be back and do another tour on our next trip to Edinburgh - thank you again!
