Great tour, even greater guide! - Kristel guided our group through a fantastic and engaging tour through the Edinburgh old town! It really felt like our guide went above and beyond to personalize and cater the tour toward the aspects of Edinburgh that we were interested in, and she was clearly super knowledgeable about the subject matter that was covered. By far the best walking tour I’ve ever been on!

Wonderful start to Edinburgh trip! - Kristel was a fantastic tour guide, and we were SO happy with the tour. The other guests no-showed and she really personalized the tour and was so lovely and friendly. Definitely gave a very warm welcome to our trip in Edinburgh and we were very impressed! It also briefly snowed while we were in the new college, which felt very magical!

Getting to know a bit about Edinburgh's history - It was a cold, wet (dreich) day but the tour guide, G, was excellent and really brought the history to life. There were only 3 visitors on this tour so it felt very personal and exclusive. There was quite a bit of walking, but the architecture and scenery was amazing. So much history! The tour cost me just under £4 and then we paid the guide extra at the end (whatever we wanted to / could afford, it was optional).. He recommended other places to visit, restaurants and bars to go to and some to avoid - especially during the rugby, unless you're a fan!! The tour took around 2 hours and G was very good at pointing out good photo opportunities and taking photos with us, the tourists in them. A brilliant experience and highly recommended.

Christmas-day exceptional tour - We did a walking tour with (Australian) David, and he was a fantastic tour guide. We attended with our two children, our buggy, and David went with the flow. He helped us up the stairs (and down) with it, and did not miss a beat in his informative explanation when our children were running around. Our tour lasted two hours, and I was a little sad that it ended when it did because time flew. The group was slightly big (about 20 people total), but that may have been because the tour was on Christmas Day (not as many tour options).

Knowledgeable - Very good tour Niamh our tour guide was absolutely amazing. From our first encounter till the very end. Very knowledgeable about the city history with her own twists and very personal quick song added just after an amazing history. Plenty of information, quick bathroom break and 2h later you wishing wasn't over yet. Will definitely be back in Edinburgh and will book other tours with her. My 12yr loved her and was very interested and engaged the all time. Thanks Niamh

History came alive during this very informative and entertaining tour - Amazing experience! Time flew by during our tour due to the great stories of our fantastic guide James Stewart. He showed us the town as we would never have seen it on our own.

No more with Melendi - We booked this activity with booking.com and the confirmation stated that we should not tip the guide. Finally it turned out a free tour and made us obligatory commitment to pay. We were 5 people and we offered him £20 (considering we had already paid another £20 when booking) and he told us publicly that it was very little... to which we added another £10 and still made us look bad. In addition, the guide simply gave too much information about dates, figures and battles in 2 squares basically, then continued with the short visit to the city. A total disappointment!
