Great experience for Gin lovers - Highly recommend this experience. James was so interesting and full of amazing facts about the history of gin. The venue itself is lovely, the gin was interesting and not what I would have expected. Definitely recommend this tasting if you want to experience gin that you wouldn't find on the shelf of any supermarket or duty free. I will go back next time for the beer tasting.

Underground Gin Tasting with Sarah - I recently attended the gin experience at The Lost Close, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Our guide, Sarah, truly made the visit unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the gin-making process, the history behind it, and the unique characteristics of each gin we tasted.

Fascinating and Fun Experience - Our guide Sara was so knowledgeable about both the history of Old Town Edinburgh and especially about gin. The setting was in an underground tunnel that was discovered when the building was renovated so the location was interesting. We learned about methods of distillation and the infusion of botanicals. We discussed and tasted the history of distilled spirits beginning with Aqua Vitae progressing through Dutch genever, and then on to 'modern' gins.

Fun for drinkers and non-drinkers alike - The stories alone are worth it whether you’re tasting the wares or not! While I enjoy gin, my husband doesn’t drink. However we both enjoyed the visit equally as much. We learned a ton!
