• Deanston Distillery & Visitor Centre - The adventure begins with a visit to Deanston Distillery, located on the picturesque banks of the River Teith. Situated in a former cotton mill, this distillery crafts a selection of premium single malt whiskies. Enjoy a guided tour of the distillery, where you will discover the traditional whisky-making process and the rich history of this unique site. Conclude with a tasting session of Deanston’s finest malts, led by an expert who will describe the distinct flavors and characteristics of their whiskies.
• Glencoe - The journey includes a brief stop at Glencoe, the site of one of Scotland’s most infamous massacres. As you admire the haunting hills, the Glen’s eerie silence is palpable. In the 17th century, a notorious act of betrayal took place here. Your guide will share the details of this historical event. The mountains of the ‘weeping valley’ seem to echo the sorrow of the past. Despite its history, Glencoe remains one of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes, a highlight of any Scottish Highlands tour!
• Fort William - The tour continues through Fort William, passing the magnificent Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. The Nevis Range looms over the winding road as the journey progresses towards Loch Ness.
• Fort Augustus - Eager to catch a glimpse of ‘Nessie’?

Fort Augustus is a charming, postcard-perfect Highland village on the southern shores of the Loch.

There will be time to explore the village and its beautiful Caledonian Canal lock system, designed by the renowned engineer Thomas Telford in the 19th century, which descends through the heart of the village into Loch Ness. Stroll further along the canal and into the surrounding countryside to enjoy views of the mountains, farm animals, and possibly red deer.

• Commando Monument - Along the way, there will be a stop at the Commando Memorial. In 1942, this area became the training ground for Britain’s Special Forces. Harsh, unforgiving, and breathtakingly beautiful, a statue of these heroes overlooks the Nevis range. Bring a camera – this is undoubtedly one of the best photo opportunities in all of Scotland.

Weather permitting, Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom, can also be seen from here.

• Cairngorms National Park - Heading south, the journey passes through the Cairngorm National Park, home to red squirrels, roe deer, red deer, soaring buzzards, pine martens, golden eagles, and ospreys. The final stop of the day is Pitlochry.
• Pitlochry - On the way south, there is a stop in the town of Pitlochry to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air. This picturesque town is nestled in the heart of the stunning scenery of Highland Perthshire. It lies below Beinn Bhracaigh (Ben Vrackie), the speckled mountain, and beside the River Tummel, amidst some of the most magnificent scenery in Scotland. With a backdrop of surrounding hills and beautiful woodlands, it is a wonderful area for walking.
• Forth Bridge - As the tour re-enters Edinburgh from the north, you will be greeted with views of Scotland’s greatest engineering feat, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Forth Bridge. This 19th-century engineering marvel was once the world’s longest cantilever bridge. Today, it stands alongside the 20th-century Forth Road Bridge and the 21st-century Queensferry Crossing, which opened in 2017. Three spectacular bridges, from three different centuries, span the Firth of Forth, connecting the capital city and the Kingdom of Fife.
• Edinburgh - The tour concludes with a drop-off in the city center, with an estimated arrival time of 8:30 PM. Please note that during the winter season, the arrival time may be earlier than estimated.

It is recommended to allow 2 hours between the expected arrival time and any onward travel or reservations in case of delays, as individual drop-offs are not available.

• For insurance purposes, passengers must not be unaccompanied on our buses during tour stops. Drivers take legally required breaks and cannot stay with the vehicle.
• Foldable wheelchairs can be stored in the hold of the bus during transit, bear in mind that staff cannot assist during boarding. Please note that the optional tour at Deanston Distillery involves multiple stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
• Please note that the optional distillery tour involves an old building with numerous stairs, and has limited accessibility.
