Eguisheim, Riquewihr, and Chateau Haut Koenigsberg Wonderful Tour Combination - Great small group tour! It was just the right size and everyone was good about getting back to the van on time. Jeremy our guide was very informative and great to spend the day with. Even with a bit of rain this was an interesting and informative tour. There was really a lot to see. I truly enjoyed it!

Outstanding Tour and Guide - This Tour was outstanding. We saw so much more by taking this tour than we could have accomplished on our own. The villages were beautiful and the castle was very interesting. Our tour guide Myriam was knowledgeable about the castle and the villages. She made our day enjoyable and we feel lucky to have had her as our guide.

Great tour! - Our guide, Arthur, was amazing! A lot of information about all the towns and sites we visited. I was disappointed that the wine tasting was in the city of Colmar at the end of the tour. It would have been much nicer if the tasting had been at one of the many wineries on the wine route. Also, more time in each village to explore on your own after the walking tour - maybe add an hour to the tour and allow an extra 30 minutes in each town?

Would recommend! - Our tour guide Author was a great tour guide and very friendly. We traveled with 8 people in total and it was fun to get to know everyone. The castle is beautiful and I’m glad we got to see it in the tour. The tour ends with a nice wine tasting back in colmar. Worth the money!! Especially if you only have a few days in France.

Not cheap but well worth it. - An excellent experience. Our guide was Art(h)ur, who organized things for the six of us very well, wisely starting the day at the impressive Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, which involves a fair amount of walking and stairs. Next a brief (unadvertised) stop at Hunawihr, with its fascinating hillside fortified churchyard, then charming Riquiwihr, a mini-Colmar, where a recommended lunch spot was excellent. Another brief stop at a Franco-American WWII memorial before Kayersberg, another well-preserved late medieval/Renaissance town divided by the pretty Weiss River that flows east to the Rhine, with a ruined castle looming atop a steep hill. A medieval church has a stunning medieval altarpiece. The stop at a chocolatier was a great idea. Finally an informative wine tasting back in Colmar. Art(h)ur was charming, well-informed, and drove calmly. Each tour will have its own itinerary, probably, based on season and weather—we had a beautiful spring day—but my guess is that this outfit is nimble and will make the best accommodations possible.

Great Tour! - My wife and I ended up with a private tour with Alain as our guide. Even though the tour accomodates eight people, we were impressed that the tour went ahead even with only two people. Alain went out of his way to make the tour as interesting and informative as possible, even stopping at an unscheduled spot memorializing American troops in World War II. He clearly knew the history and details for everything we saw and we highly recommend this tour.

This was exactly what we... - This was exactly what we were looking for in a day trip from Colmar. Our guide, Thierry was knowledgeable, kind and had a great sense of humor. I hesitate to do long experiences for fear of “being stuck” but this was fabulous!

Alsace is the best! - We travelled to Alsace again this year. We did not visit Strasbourg this time but tended to stay more in the country between Obernai where we stayed and Mulhouse. We flew into Basel/Mulhouse instead of Frankfurt, which is over a 4 hour drive, where Mulhouse is just over an hour. Which is a big difference when you're tired from flying over night. We love driving through the wine route in Alsace, with stops in Colmar. Colmar is great, I think they call it petite venice as they have canal rides through the town. My favorite spot is a resturant on the side the canal by the main bridge where you can watch the canal boats. Colmar is fantastic for walking around and dining outside. This year we visited the point where France, Germany and Switzerland come together. They have a monument, a bit anti-climatic but worth seeing in my view. Had lunch and picked up some nice swiss chocolate in Basel at the same time. We drove through Kaysersberg and what a beautiful town that would be to visit on our next tour and probably why Anthony Bourdain stayed there. Also visited the castle at Haut Koenigsbourg which is a must see in this area. Its an easy walk through but don't attempt it on a weekend or holiday, especially during a bike race! I've stayed in Obernai which is a very old town which has been around since like 7th century. I keep finding new places there everytime I go. Great resturants, although my favorites are Me'me and Winstub La Dime. We stayed in La Cloche this time but have stayed in Le Colombier in past. The Colombier has a huge breakfast buffet where La Cloche has the usual Alsatian breakfast fare and for the price, its worth it. I also must say that the staff at La Cloche is way more personable and friendly!
