- Kalabsha Temple - The Temple of Kalabsha, also known as the Temple of Mandulis, is an ancient Egyptian temple originally situated at Bab al-Kalabsha, about 50 km south of Aswan.
In the 1960s, the temple was relocated as part of the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, along with other remarkable Nubian architectural sites such as Abu Simbel and Amada.
The temple was dismantled and reconstructed on a hill near the High-Dam site on the Western Bank. It was initially built by Thutmose II and Amenhotep II at Kalabsha, 40 miles south of Aswan, and was restored during the Roman conquest.
- Nubian Museum - The Nubian Museum, officially known as the International Museum of Nubia, is an archaeological museum located in Aswan, Upper Egypt. It was constructed following the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia, designed by architect Mahmoud El-Hakim, with an estimated construction cost of LE 75 million (approximately US$22 million at the time). Dedicated to Nubian culture and civilization, it was inaugurated on November 23, 1997, and received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2001.
The museum showcases thousands of antiquities that would have been submerged under Lake Nasser. It derives its name from the ancient Egyptian word ‘Nub,’ meaning gold, referring to the area’s renowned gold mines. Additionally, visitors can enjoy scenes of Nubian life depicted through various life-size displays.
At the end of the tour, guests will be transferred back to their hotel in Aswan.
