Chocolate and Dreamy Views: A Perfect Day - We did a day trip from Alicante in April that combined a visit to the Valor Chocolate Factory and the Castle of Guadalest – and honestly, it was such a great plan! Everything was booked in advance, and the driver was super friendly and had everything well organized, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Just enjoy. First stop was the Valor factory in Villajoyosa. As soon as you walk in, it smells amazing. We did a guided visit through the museum and production area, with lots of fun facts about how the chocolate is made. At the end, we got to taste different types... absolutely delicious! And the shop at the end – dangerous! I wanted to buy everything 😂 Then we headed to Guadalest, a little village that looks like it came out of a fairytale. It’s up in the mountains, with narrow cobbled streets full of little artisan shops and incredible views of the turquoise reservoir. We climbed up to the castle – it’s not huge, but it’s full of charm and the views from the top are breathtaking. The weather was great too, which made it even better. All in all: a perfect day full of chocolate, history, and nature. If you're in Alicante and want to do something different from the usual beach plan, this trip is totally worth it.
