Excellent discovery - Let's hike with Simon de Islabonita tours. Excellent guide, very interesting and nice. A giant of 2m16 with bcp humor. Our hike was organized by our cruiser (Ponant).

Awesome Volcano Trip - Our guide Juan took us to the crater rim of 2021's Tajogaite volcano. Although the eruption was over three years ago the cone was still outgassing chemicals that stained rock beautiful and subtle shades of yellow and cream and white. Along the way to the new volcano, Juan gave a brief overview of vulcanism in the Canary Islands, and pointed out the effects of the eruption on the ecosystem. He also presented the impacts on the human populations that were so impacted by these natural processes that happened to rise up in a heavily populated area. It's a slow process of change and recovery for both nature and humanity, and things will never be the same. Worthwhile trip. Do pay attention to the weather, and dress knowing that you'll be spending most of your time at higher elevations than coastal La Palma.

A nice guided tour to Tajogaite - the newest volcano on La Palma - We had the most interesting tour with our guide Juan (I think his name was). Even when my husband got challenged due to lack of medicine our guide was very helpful. The nature around the volcano is so beautiful and our guide had so many interesting things to tell us about the surroundings. Thank you so much. Next time we go to La Palma, we will definetely choose another tour with you.

Informative and varied - Good doll size and lively guide, who has repeatedly shared small information packets and clear explanations without giving long lectures 👍

A superb experience - Quite exceptional guided walk. It was managed faultlessly with taxos taking us to the start and end points. The walk itself had a little challenge but should be well within the capabilities of anybody of moderate fitness. Getting up close to a very recent major eruption was breathtaking. I thought I had some idea of eruptions but Juan our guide was terrifically informative. He talked us through the creation of La Palma and the effects of the 2021 eruption, making it live with his sensitive focus on the idea of a living landscape. We had very high winds but he was reassuring and realistic about handling them safely. A superb experience.

Easy route, well explained - Fantastic 5 km walk along the upper back of the Tajogaite volcano. You're about 250 yards away. Spectacular fields of ash on which the Canary pine slowly comes back to life.

Super hike, description somewhat inaccurate - Great hike, nice, well informed guide. Probably the most impressive hike this holiday, you should definitely do if you are moderately fit. A star deduction because: Booked was: German-speaking guide, maximum 6 people (or 8, am no longer sure) a "walk" of 4.5 km, from 3 years. The group had 15 people, guidance was English and Spanish, the route was 7km with decent altitude meters. The walking pace was fast, half the group looked like they had really done sports at the end. My 5 year old son didn't have the chance to go with the pace, so I carried him almost all the way in the Kraxe I had with me. It's all totally okay and I can only recommend the hike, but you should know beforehand...
