El Penol de Guatape and the town Guatape are both stunning and enjoyable attractions. - El Penol is one of the stunning attractions near Medellin, Colombia. It is a huge attraction that has a small town under the enormous rock that is supposed to be 65 million years old. El penol, which is the name of the rock, has been revised and is now able to be climbed through built in stairs. Outside the attraction is the larger town of Guatape which has a huge array of shops, restaurants, and hotels apart from the antique infrastructure of the town.
