A perfect day out, thank you! - Thank you to Hamed for a fantastic day out in Alexandria.
He arrived to collect us on time and looked after us all day.
We did everything we wanted to do plus a little more, and he drove us safely all day.
The car was comfortable and he speaks good English.
I would highly recommend a tour with him if you get the opportunity.

While it was a long... - While it was a long travel day, the tour company was very accommodating to my flight delay in the morning and the driver and guide (Reem) were fantastic and very knowledgeable. I especially appreciated having a female tour guide with a lot of interesting insides into the local culture.

Fantastic Day Out - Amazing day out. We were picked up promptly by our driver and taken to Alexandria where we were met by our guide. She was very good- friendly, knowledgeable, able to arrange lunch for us at a good price. We went to the catacombs, the Roman theatre, the library, the mosque, and the Citadel. Fantastic places to see and visit, we got some lovely photos, and we were returned to our accommodation by about 6.30pm. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable Alexandria trip - We were supposed to pick it up at 7pm, but after waiting 30 minutes, they didn’t show up, so we contacted the tour company and they came at 8pm.
The driver who came, Ahmet, was a lovely person, had great driving skills, and was able to travel safely ☺️He also fed us some Egyptian treats we had never seen before on the way home!
Thank you for driving us down the chaotic traffic road in Cairo on our way home 😭

Long travel day - not worth the risk! - First, the driver and guide were great and we don’t blame them in any way for our experience but I feel this tour should come with a massive warning.
Due to weather conditions, the road to Alexandria was closed. We were in stationary traffic for over 2 hours. The drive in total to get to the first stop took 6 hours. I appreciate weather is outside of the tour providers control but it was made worse by (a) the driver being unable to speak English so could not explain the delay to us; and (b) the guide advising us that this time of year, the road closes on average once per week - meaning the provider is aware of this risk, yet does not give the warning.
In total, we drove for 9 hours. Not the 5 hours stated in the description - I would be surprised if it is ever that quick.
We spent 3 hours in Alexandria - approx half of that time in the car in traffic within the city. We skipped stops and sped up time at the others. We skipped lunch due to concerns about travelling back to Cairo.
The sites are good, but it’s not worth 9 hours of travel. I am not convinced it’s worth the usual 5 hours, albeit if all stops are completed and more time permitted then maybe it is.
If we had known about this potential risk, we would not have booked the tour.
Nothing against the driver or guide for their efforts which is why I would still give 4 stars.

Nice tour - Nice tour of Alexandria. But our guide kept on chatting with the driver during the car ride, instead of explaining stuff about our surroundings. While she did answer our questions, we just feel that it could have been better if she gave an overview of the city and explained to us the surroundings we were passing by. She was knowledgeable though and answered all of our questions.
The driver kept using her phone while on the highway driving at 140kph! Maybe please remind drivers not to use their cellphones while driving because this can lead to an accident...

Alexandria Egypt with fear - Alexandria is an interesting destination. The Library is magnificent. Our guide was very good and friendly in telling us about the places we saw and the characteristics of the local culture. Unfortunately the trip was terrible for the driver who despite the protests smoked.in the car and especially on the way back drove running at exaggerated speed putting our safety at risk. We were afraid

The Tour guide meant... - The Tour guide meant well, but made us a little uncomfortable. He asked to hold our hand twice and to add us on facebook - we declined all times. He also tried to get in every picture with us. We didn't get to see the library because it was closed on Fridays and we weren't told that until mid tour after they said we were going. They tried not bringing us to the Mosque because it was under renovation, but we had to tell them we wanted to still go. For lunch, we said we don't eat fish and ended up at a cafe for a croissant.
