- Laguardia - We will visit the Ysios cellar designed by Santiago Calatrava. The structure boasts many architectural features, for example, the roof aims to simulate te Sierra Cantabria (the mountain range that importantly helps to create the Rioja micro climate). In case Ysios is not open to the public that we will take you to Javier San Pedro winery (in front of Ysios winery)
You will have a tutored tasting where you will taste two of their remarkable wines with an aperitif (normally Iberian ham).
- Laguardia - You will enjoy a simple tapas lunch with wine in Laguardia

Laguardia - We will head to Laguardia for a walk around the beautiful walled, medieval city of LaGuardia, with its underground cellars and wineries. Possibly one of the most beautiful villages in La Rioja

Visit Laguardia and take the best pictures form our secret spots and enjoy local tapas for lunch.
In case the Ysios winery was closed for visits (sometimes it happens as it´s a very special winery) we will upgrade you for a wine tasting in Carlos San Pedro winery with the best views over the Ysios winery and the Sierra Cantabria mountains. You will taste 4 wines paired with 3 local appetisers. And of course you will be able to take as many pictures as you want of the Ysios building!

The meeting point is in front of the Guggenheim museum where the big red stop for the Bilbao city view Hop-on Hop-off bus is located (by the tourist information point). You will see it easy as it is in front of Islares restaurant and very close to the Puppy flower sculpture designed by Jeff Koons.

Extraordinary - I enjoyed the visit a lot with small group (6 pax) in good weather and the professionalism of our pretty and caring guide/driver - Marina! Time is sufficient for self exploring in both winery. Lunch is good pintxos with Cava😬. I personally wish to have a bit more time on the lovely town exploring after lunch.

Highlight of our Bilbao Holiday! - I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Bilbao area! The price tag was a bit of a splurge for us, but it was SO worth it. Our tour guide, Marina, was lovely--so warm, kind, and knowledgable. She did a wonderful job of providing background information and context that enhanced not only our visits to each winery, but also the rest of our time in Bilbao. The tours at each winery were comprehensive and personalized, and the scenery was stunning. The stop in Laguardia was also a fun history lesson. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Outstanding experience in the Rioja - This was an excellent tour; everything about it was exceptional, from the knowledgeable guide, Anton, to the winery experiences, a visit to a medieval town, and a substantive Spanish lunch. Our drive from Bilbao to the Rioja was in a comfortable van, and the scenery was stunning. The two wineries lived up to the description, and we enjoyed the wine and snacks provided. We bought a bottle from each winery, and while very different, each was an exemplary Spanish wine. I’d highly recommend this tour!

Above and Beyond Expectations - This vineyard tour of Marqués de Riscal and Ysios was a true highlight of my sister and I's trip! Both wineries were absolutely stunning—Marqués de Riscal with its iconic architecture and deep history, and Ysios with its modern design and breathtaking mountain backdrop. The wine tastings were well-organized and informative, giving a great contrast between tradition and innovation in Rioja winemaking.
Our guide Marina was incredible! She was very knowledgeable about the region. What really stood out, though, was the personal attention. I'm a very picky eater, and the guide went out of her way to make sure there were pintxos I could enjoy during lunch. That kind of thoughtfulness made the whole experience feel even more special.
The pacing of the day was perfect: unhurried but never boring. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a blend of culture, wine, and personalized service!

Informative, comfortable way to experience a bit of Rioja region in a day - Wonderful tour of a small part of Rioja- the best part according to our exceptional guide Marina. The drive is through beautiful country in a comfortable van with great explanations of the area’s history, culture and cuisine. The tour of Marques de Riscal is informative and the tasting is wonderful. Also completely enjoyed the 2nd smaller vineyard with an interesting history and again a great wine tasting with nibbles. Completed the tour with a pintxos lunch and more wine followed by a gentle walk around the village of La Guardia. Overall a great way to spend the day.

Awesome way to see the Rioja wine region! - Marina, our guide, was fantastic! She educated us on types of wines and grapes for the Rioja region and took us to a few wineries as well as a delicious lunch of pintxos. Would highly recommend this as a great way to spend a day in the best wine region in the world.

Easy booking for singles and couples - Excellent professionalism guide Marina who spoke English and travel organization.
The only drawback, change of plans at the last moment, with reporting closure bodega Ysios Calatrava, seen only from a distance. Replaced with another smaller bodega.
