- Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s House - Purchased in 1905 with the proceeds from her early books, this charming 17th-century stone house is where characters like Samuel Whiskers, Jemima Puddleduck, and Tom Kitten were created.
- Tarn Hows - In 1929, Miss Potter acquired the Monk Coniston estate, including Tarn Hows, for £15,000. She sold half to the National Trust and bequeathed the remainder to them in her will.
- Coniston Water - Coniston Water is one of the most majestic and beautiful English lakes, dominated by the “Old Man of Coniston,” which rises to 803 meters.
- Coniston - As we pass through the village of Coniston, we arrive at Yew Tree Farm, owned by the National Trust. Beatrix purchased the farm in 1930, preserving it from becoming a forestry plantation. This stunning and historic Grade II listed building is one of the most renowned farmhouses in the Lake District.
