Absolutely brilliang and a fantastic staff team. - Me and my friend also did the overnight event then the escape cell and the guided tour. Every single member of staff from the lady when entering the car park, the ladies at the over night, guard at the escape cell, guard for the tour and all the staff in between, canteen staff, gift shop staff and anyone else have all been so happy, polite and helpfull from start to finish which made the experience even more enjoyable. We are already planning our return, cant wait to see the staff again. Well done everyone.

Escape room - Absolutely brilliant. The gaurd who dealt with us was exceptional. I have mobility issues and he was so caring and supportive I felt in good hands. The whole experience was taxing and very enjoyable. Thank you. Would definitely recommend.

Prison break - Brilliant experience. We did the prison break and it was a great afternoon out. The actors really played their parts well and the prison itself is interesting. Definitely recommend.

Prison Break Experience… GO! - Just wow!
Went with a few friends and followers of our social page.
We were kindly greeted in reception where we could easily park and pay for secure parking (main place to park is on the grounds NOT OPPOSITE THE PRISON!)
The staff at the desk were very helpful and knowledgeable even for the smallest asks. It’s a shame the shop isn’t a little bigger as I am sure people would love to see more! (Pin badges, fridge magnets, etc).
We were unfortunate not to get a map of the prison, but this is because we were to break out!
They organised the general public away from those on the prison break experience, and it flowed so well, I don’t think either side noticed.
The actors we were encouraged to interact with were absolutely amazing! They can take anything, and they want you to as much as you are comfortable with. A hint… you need to talk to them, but shhhhh!
No spoilers, but after the event, all staff are more than happy to and happy to help to take photos of groups, with people, pretty much anything you could ask for!
I would recommend hanging behind where possible and getting to know them all, they’re amazing and supporting people.
The experience, without spoiling it… a challenge, hard on your brain, hilarious with the people you’re with, but above all… one to remember. All thanks to the amazing staff there!
Facilities, there are plenty dotted around, however do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you’re lost (can happen).
There was a restaurant on site, mid day is pretty standard with toasties, soft drinks, pasties etc. I think the evening might be better for food if that’s all you’re there for.
Shout out to ALL STAFF, especially those involved with the prison escape. You’re all in character but very caring and considerate of the public who take part. One of the most professional experiences ever.
Get yourselves booked!

Perfect place to start a Hen Party!! - 9 of us did the ‘Prison Break’ escape room for my daughter’s Hen party and we had a fantastic time!! All of the actors were great! The Governor, the two female prisoners (one who had my 70 year old Mom running after her around the prison!!) the sweet one who had to tell the truth!! Gym was particularly friendly and also officer McNally was a cheeky chappy! Nurse and Cookie were great too!! Also the officer with glasses whose name I can’t recall!! It was a professional, immersive experience and we were howling with laughter for the duration!! We also managed to escape which proved we aren’t as stupid as we thought! Ha! Would definitely recommend! Whether there are 2 of you or 10 of you it’s a great day out!

Interesting but expensive - The self guided tour was great, lots of interesting areas to see with plenty of information available.
Cell escape, whilst fun, was not worth the money at all. Not enough info given about where to start or what we were looking for. We initially wanted to do The Hole but the staff were helpful and said it was exceptionally dark and possibly not suitable for the youngest of our group.
Be warned, the cafe and gift shop are extortionate. £5 for a bog standard pen is daylight robbery, whoever sets the prices should be stuck in one of the cells.
Would I recommend a tour of the prison? Yes.
Would I recommend the Cell Escape Room? No
Would I recommend the gift shop? Not a chance.
Cannot fault any of the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful.

First time in an escape room - Never been on an escape experience before, so a little confused as what to do as clues were a little evasive, but eventually worked out what to do with helpful hints from assistant. Once finished escape room had a leisurely stroll round the prison, very enjoyable. Worth a visit

Interesting and well constructed escape room - Interesting if you have never been to a prison before. And the escape room activity was well constructed. Overall I would say it is a little pricey, and the prison itself is not very different from (for example) Shepton Mallett, so I wouldn't bother if you have been to another prison.

Prison Cell Break - disappointing - The experience needed a bit more structure so we knew what order we needed to open locked items. A copy of the leaders briefing in the cell would have also been useful. Although the leader would give us a clue it got a bit boring when we couldn’t progress.

Worst escape room I’ve ever done - This is one of the cheapest excuses for an escape room I’ve ever been to. They have a real opportunity to make something exciting out of the cells but it’s lazy, props are battered and even broken. The guy that ran it is looking after all the cells so you have to knock and wait if you need help. I’m sure he thinks he’s playing the part of a prison guard but unfortunately he just comes off as nonchalant and rude. They did say at the beginning that you won’t know when you’ve finished. Which is a bit stupid because there’s isn’t even a click of the door to indicate whatsoever that you’re finished which is pointless because you’re meant to feel the excitement and drive to get out. It was all so flimsy and the clues were either red herrings or impossible with broken props. We split into two groups and one did light and one did dark. The dark one received equally as bad feedback. Cove Attractions have ruined shrewsbury prison. It used to be a great place but now the activities are sub standard and they ruined the excellent Christmas markets it used to have. Shrewsbury prison needs a better company running their activities.
