Drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls

Rhino Fund Uganda - After an early breakfast, your driver guide will collect you from your hotel to commence your journey to the park. En route, make a detour at Nakitoma-Nakasongola to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can enjoy a guided walk to observe the rhinos. The sanctuary is home to 32 Southern White rhinos and offers a unique opportunity to learn about ongoing repopulation efforts. You may also encounter various other wildlife species, including Uganda kobs, oribis, bushbucks, waterbucks, and numerous bird species.

Murchison Falls National Park - Relish the countryside views as you drive northwest, with a second stop in Masindi Town for lunch. Enter the park and start spotting baboons and later warthogs as you proceed to the lodge. Spend the evening relaxing and unwinding from the long drive.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park - Morning Game Drive: Rise early for a cup of coffee at 6:00 am. Your driver will pick you up from the lodge at 6:30 am to begin your game drive. During the drive, you will have the chance to see numerous animals, including buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, and birds. After the game drive, around 11:40 am, return to the lodge to relax and freshen up.

Nile Delta Cruises - Murchison Falls - After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. On the boat, you will see Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the riverbanks, as well as various aquatic birds like bee-eaters and colorful kingfishers. The boat approaches safely close to the base of the falls. This cruise lasts 3 hours.

Murchison Falls National Park to Kampala

Kampala - Enjoy breakfast and the hotel facilities before departing the park for your return journey. Stop in Masindi for lunch and continue back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel for overnight accommodation.

Entebbe - Visit the Crafts Market in Entebbe for souvenir shopping. Afterward, have lunch at Victoria Mall, the largest mall in Entebbe, before heading to the airport to catch your departure flight.
