Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - Kibale Forest is a vast protected rainforest area, home to the highest number of primates in Africa, including Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed Monkey, and Red Colobus. In the evening, embark on a Bigodi swamp walk (2-3 hours) through grasslands, small communities, and stunning scenery, where locals often greet you with enthusiastic waves. Itās common to spot 3 or 4 different primate species during this walk, with the highlight being a sighting of the Great Blue Turaco! Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge or Kibale Forest Camp.
Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National Park - Today, enter a completely different world filled with fascinating monkey activity! While the main focus is tracking Chimps, the forest is home to at least 12 primate species, including the Red Tailed Monkey, Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus Monkey, and the Blue Monkey. The forest also boasts a rich bird life, featuring the beautiful Great Blue Turaco. With some luck, you might even spot a wandering herd of Forest Elephants. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge, enjoying a lovely view of the forest and its wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge or Kibale Forest Camp.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park - Uganda
Queen Elizabeth National Park - This is Ugandaās second-largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park is teeming with wildlife, including Gazelle, Uganda Kob, Warthog, and Waterbuck. Lions are frequently seen both inside and at the parkās entrance. Be ready to encounter large numbers of Hippos and Elephants, and keep an eye out for a Leopard basking in the sunshine. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp or Bush Lodge.
Queen Elizabeth National Park Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Trip - Uganda
Kazinga Channel - Before sunrise, embark on a game drive in the park to search for predators and nocturnal creatures as they return to their hideouts. Expect to see species such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Side-striped Jackals, Hyenas, Leopards, Lions, Warthogs, Uganda Kobs, and Giant Forest Hogs. After lunch, enjoy a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, where youāll witness an abundance of Hippos and various other animals coming to the waterhole to drink or bathe. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth, known as Ishasha, famous for its tree-climbing lions. These lions have learned to climb fig trees to escape the midday heat, and if youāre lucky, youāll see some lounging in the branches. Ishasha is a remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where youāll also see Buffalo, Topi, and Hippo among other species. Itās a magnificent sight to see lions draped from the trees, and nowhere in Africa offers a better chance of witnessing this than in the large, low-limbed fig trees of Ishasha. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp or Gorilla Valley Lodge.
Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early morning breakfast, prepare for an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas.
