Transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Kibale National Park

Entebbe - Guests will be picked up from their accommodation in Entebbe and driven to Kibale National Park. The journey to Kibale passes through key towns in western Uganda, such as Mityana, Kyenjojo, and Fort Portal. From Fort Portal, the drive to Kibale National Park offers picturesque views, including the Rwenzori Mountains and the Kabarole highlands.

Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - Upon arrival at Kibale National Park, visitors can explore the Bigodi Community Centre for a sustainable tourism experience, choosing from activities like a nature walk, banana beer-making, or a coffee tour.

Chimpanzee Trek at Kibale National Park & Return to Entebbe/Kampala

Kibale National Park - This day is dedicated to visiting Kibale National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure. The day begins with an early breakfast at the lodge, followed by a short drive to the Kanyanchu gate of Kibale National Park, the starting point for chimp trekking. At the Kanyanchu gate, trekkers will join others for a brief orientation led by the national park guide. The briefing includes information on the history of Kibale National Park, its wildlife, and the rules for the chimp trek. During the trek, visitors may encounter various monkey species, such as colobus, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. After completing the chimp trek, the drive back to Kampala/Entebbe will take approximately 6-7 hours.
